An absolute legend in the ring, the Deadman was the greatest character in wrestling history. Not just that, he kept in character for so long that he never managed to live a normal life. It’s amazing to get an insight into the man himself, Mark Calaway. Very well spoken, humble and polite. Brilliant interview 👑

I was really young back then, in 1993 or whatever, and really believed he was working in a mourge for paul bearer, became strong from digging graves, and bearer signed him up for pricefighting Later his character became kind of ridicoulous when they added more extras and i got older. Then he started coming to the ring on a motorcycle with a bandana on his head and i start digging it again. Watching this interview, that was an amped up version of himself, that's what makes it dope

If they even answer the question at all. Tyson, for an amateur interviewer, was doing quite well. There's a trick to keeping the flow of conversation going or guests can talk forever. Oh, but how would I know that? Because I worked on some of the bigger TV talk shows in the 70s & 80s in NYC. I'm not being sarcastic with you, your question is valid. I'm just justifying what I said. My favorite wrestler. I’m an 80’s baby that had 2 brother that loved contact sports. My 2nd oldest brother, who’s 7 years older than me, had the VCR tapes (VHS) and he is a die hard wrestling fanatic. I latched on to The Undertaker character back in the mid 90’s my brothers watched his character development and I caught on when he was that guy! Nostalgia 🎉🎉
