I ended up doing 10 tracks instead of 5 as mentioned in the video! There was some copyright issues with one of them so it got chopped out a bit, sorry about that! Massive shoutout to the composers for all the great variety and fun themes to listen to. Should we do more???? 👀🎵

You should REALLY check out AFTERLIFE. Its somewhat similar to Finale/Your Best Nightmare and I think you would really enjoy it!

Yes, and I think some more Undertale/Deltarune track could be nice too. Like "Attack of the killer queen", "Asgore", "Fallen down (reprise)", or "Hotel". You already did the main one but god there are so many cool and amazing track in this game Actually you could take any track from Undertale and it will (I think) be interesting if it's not an FX, and Even some Undertale FX are really cool and interesting.😂

Hey!! Dev here and fan of your content! Was REALLY surprised too see this in my subscription box. So for a little context Undertale Yellow is a fanmade prequel to the original Undertale. Toby Fox, the original Undertale creator and pretty much sole composer on that game did not work on the game or its soundtrack but there are a lot of little songs that do reference motifs and melodies from Undertale. However, a majority of the soundtrack is actually original and has a lot of its own melodies, motifs and themes that make it unique in its own way. It was very fun too see the lesser heard and more mellow songs get some love in this video but your only scratching the surface of how awesome the soundtrack is. I would LOVE too see you do a follow up if ever possible including some of the harder hitting boss songs and somber songs in the game like *A Mothers Love (The final boss theme composed by the majority of the sound-team, my favorite song in the soundtrack) *Best Friends Forever *Guns Blazing *Showdown * Retribution (Which is basically part 2 to Remedy and my second favorite song in the ost) (and some not boss battle tracks that are awesome) *Meltdown *Undertale Yellow (The Credits Song that has alot of the games main motifs and melodies) * A Place to Rest (the follow up to Undertale Yellow song) (too name a few) This game means a lot to us devs and its so cool seeing someone outside of the community even giving it some love. If your ever curious to who composed a song, its usually in the video description of the main channel as a handful of composers worked on it. Including MasterSwordRemix, who is the main creator and composer of the game. (If you see Toby Fox in the credits it means its a reprise or remix one of his songs from the first game lol) Rock on ✊

Love the picks you've chosen, but i would definitely add one more to this list: "Gift" There, so many banger boss themes i could've chosen, but this one just... hits different. I don't know how hard the song would hit without knowing the entire story behind it, but god... if you know the context, it actually feels like getting hit by a truck, and makes me feel raw emotions every time i hear it.

The ones he reacted to are 3 menu tracks (Once Upon a Truthful Time is the game intro, which you can hear even before you reach the menu, I count it) 4 location tracks 2 special tracks (Fun Sized can be heard on 4 occasions, but half of them are battle and the other half is location, Honeydew Ruins is something you can hear if you ask a band in the game to play you a tune and isn't heard anywhere else) 1 character overworld theme (Mo Money, there's this guy named Mo) 1 normal battle track (there's 4 of them not counting Enemy Retreating for genocide runs, and he listened to the second one) 1 miniboss track (the very first miniboss) and the final one... first phase of the final boss of the genocide route

This was really nice! Usually the boss themes are the main attraction in videos like this, so it was quite nice to hear appreciation for the smaller things like main menu variations of all things. Would be fun to see more from UTY!

More! Please! I beg! This fangame is absolutely stunning with it's scope, and the delivery was well worth the wait. For being in development so long, and also being a fan project, I actually think this could be a true prequel to Undertale. The soundtrack is amongst my favorite of any game, fangame or not.

17:36 someone actually has! i recall seeing it, it was on one of the more later songs in the game which is a pretty intense boss battle type piece "a mothers love" if you were wondering

My favorite tracks from the game (pretty intense tracks, mostly from the end of the OST) definitely are Retribution, Apprehension and AFTERLIFE. Meltdown is great, too. Really happy you reacted to it, I hope you will react to some more in the future.

Undertale Yellow (UTY) is a fanmade prequel to Undertale that was in development for seven years and follows the human who fell underground before the one you play as in original UT, and as the name implies, has a yellow soul

loved seeing your breakdown/analysis on a lot of the musical ideas here! stuff like relaxation and mo money had a lot more going on that i gave them credit for and this made me appreciate them a lot more! would love to see more, this is a really diverse soundtrack with a lot of really cool elements and it'd be awesome to see you break them down too :) my personal favorites (and the ones i'd recommend) are probably meltdown, best friends forever, a mother's love, and snowfall, although honestly anything more from UTY would be awesome :)

0:01 Undertale Yellow is a fangame inspired from Undertale, it acts as a prequel to Undertale, where you play the Yellow soul child, who came down to the Underground in order to find the 5 other disappeared children. And the game quality rivals easily that of Undertale.

17:27 HA! Already happened. My favorite themes from this OST are Apprehension, Meltdown, Enter Axis, Medium, Guns Blazing, Enemy Retreating, End Of The Line_, Remedy & Retribution. (The last 3 are my most favorites. Remedy and Retribution are better when you listen to them in one go.) 28:27 the best parts about both UNDERTALE and UNDERTALE YELLOW are actually the writing and the music. The music really helps to set the atmosphere for the story. Without the story and music Undertale would be a trash game. But because of these two factors Undertale is my and many others‘ number one favorite game of all time. And even though not everyone says that it’s their number one G.O.A.T basically everyone will place it in their top 10 at least.

Zero lab, from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, Toby Fox was asked to compose a song, and he was given no more than the final boss of the game! -Undertale, 5th anniversary concert, since in your previous video you wanted to hear Toby Fox music with real instruments, here you can hear them composed by himself!

Context for each of the themes: (Obvious medium spoiler warning) Once Upon a Truthful Time - Opening intro (coulda guessed by the title) In Darkness - Area 1 standard theme. You are in a darker more mysterious and less inviting version of the first area from the original UNDERTALE. Fever Pitch - minor character battle theme Fun Sized - Ribbit. Seclusion - theme while in a specific room in the game Main Menu 3 - menu theme while the save file you left off on is in the second area of the game. Includes various leitmotifs used in that area. Blizzard Approaching - area 2 standard battle theme Mo Money - theme for an NPC character Relaxation - theme for a certain place Honeydew Ruins - theme for a room remixed with the leitmotifs of the first area in the game Main Menu 4 - menu theme while the save file you left off on is in the third area of the game. Includes various leitmotifs used in that area. Oasis Valley (Indoors) - theme that plays while in certain rooms. (Coulda guessed by the title.) Remedy - The end lies beyond. Finish what you started. Another battle theme for that character.

The song called Blossom in the ost serves as a calm song in an rpg game or Bg music.. Reason i even say this is bc i keep hearing doki doki literature club bg music and wondered, "what other tracks serve as good bg songs?" Also fever pitch has a leitmotif of the song forlorn.

to be honest i think undertale has the best music and story of every game i’ve ever played and it would be great if you could react to the whole soundtrack (i saw an opera singer who did this and he seemed to really enjoy it, and as a musician myself who has played undertale i have a lot of respect for toby’s storytelling and composing, it’s genuinely a beautiful game)

I know this isnt an anime opening reaction, but you seriously need to react to Ao no Hako (Blue Box), opening, Same Blue. Knowing how much you care about the complexity of the compositions, you'll have a great time counting the bars in that tune, cause it's definitely tricky. I hope you give it a chance! (the anime so far has been great too) Also, Great video as always!

I know I'm late here, but hey: Undertale Yellow is a fanmade prequel of Undertale which follows Clover, the yellow soul of justice, in their journey through the underground. Featuring a new cast of characters and three very distinct routes, the game looks gorgeous on top of maintaining the same level of quality and humour as Toby Fox and presenting the themes in a nuanced way. The game is considered canon by a vastly majority of the fanbase and took 8 years to make, not a single one was wasted either, as it is clear a group of very talented and passionate people poured their heart into it. I would gladly recommend you to play it, you don't actually need the context from Undertale to enjoy it, although it does also reference it a couple of times.

If you're gonna do more Video Game music, I can highly recommend "Crypt of the Necrodancer", a game where music is the main focus. Danny Baranovsky did an amazing job with the OST. Listen to Disco Decent and you'll know what I mean. Love your reacts, keep it up man ♥

You should check GUNS BLAZING and END OF THE LINE_. You played undertale before and you know there are two main endings and one neutral. This game a theme for each of the two main runs for almost every boss. And those are my favorite in this concept.

Undertale Yellow is fanmade mod for Undertale. It's story is aligned to fit as it would be canon and many people hope it is true. MC there is Clover - boy that left Yellow souls, revolver and cowboy hat. Storytelling there is great so i really suggest playing that. About OST - I love how much music there takes what we all know from original game and then after few notes goes other way. Snowdin music do it the most.
