Wow, at long, LONG last someone finally acknowledged Dimentio's actual lore. It pains me how most fans don't even know of his family and "the accident", some parts also allude to him writing the Dark Prognosticus. Can't forget about his father, the Master Magician inventing the Pixls in the first place.

The purgatory that the demented jester was condemned to by fate. All the forces Blumiere entrusted to him as Bleck died under his command. He could've killed Mario as soon as possible and overpowered Blumiere with his box & explosion technique, as the count would've been fully blindsided, and by the time he realised what was happening he would be cut off from the Chaos Heart, but he decided to let Mario & co do it.

There is obscure lore in Super Paper Mario about a magician from 3,000 years ago who had a son, wife, and daughter. He lost his mother and son in an accident and lost his daughter shortly after due to an illness. He took his daughter and turned her into the first Pixl (it’s what Mario’s companions are in the game). But rumors say the son survived and no one knows what happened to him afterwards. The popular theory is that the son is actually Dimentio.
