I love and despise you in equal measure 😭💔💚 again, love how odysseus had seen eye to eye with cyclops, but not his own mother. that touch where she never really looked at him and couldn't see him one last time even after death should be considered a war crime of some sort, and i'm here for it 🙏💯🌟

I honestly almost cried watching this. The fact that Anticlea never looks at him makes it better and worse at the same time. It makes the line "I'm right here" hit so much harder because he is, and his mom can't see him. She's still on that shore, waiting. Also I adore the colors used. How Polites is red and yellow and the mom is blue. It's such a calm color and works so well. Also I love Odysseus' expressions when he hears their voices!!!

i absolutely ADORE the detail of odysseus walking along the boat so he can get just a little more time hearing his mother's voice and seeing her soul as they sail past Also love that you showed how the souls are stuck in time (polites is still smiling as he sings his optimism, ody's mother is pacing and looking around for her son)

I kind of like the idea that even in death Polites still believes in kindness. The thought of his mom waiting for him and the idea that she probably will until he ends up in the underworld is so sad

I like how Politis' cape looks like waves and it seems to be reaching out to Odysseus from the Styx itself. And the scene with the mother just killed me. aaaaahh I like how Odysseus is sailing on a ship, and his mother is standing on the shore and waiting for him to land, as if he returned home, BUT THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN😭😭😭

What a wonderful animatic with Odysseus, Politis and Odysseus' mom!! And it's so nice to pay attention to such small details as colors!! For example, I think that the warm colors (red and gold) of Politis mean something warm, pleasant and good, as if he wants to convey warmth to Odysseus, but he cannot. Odyssey's mom's are calmer, as if they emphasize her age and calm manner of singing, and emphasizes her mood - sadness. She has never seen Odysseus, but she really wants to see him. ❤

You are completely right, also the blue color for Odysseus’s mother was chosen because blue itself (at least for me) is associated with Odysseus himself
