At the age of 37 the symptoms started... By late 38 I got really scared because of memory loss and having so many problems at work for that... Started to investigate through blood tests and docs. I had to research by myself about the thyroid because docs only checked tsh, which is in range. Paid a private thyroid full check with blood test and scan and found out it is inflamed and I have high thyroid antibodies. Still doc feedback was: it's all OK. It's normal. Check tsh twice a year and good life, bye. This is how the scientific world treat women. Shame on them.

This is the most thorough explanation of this subject I have ever seen. So many years of trying to get doctors to understand what I was going through, but no help really came about it...20yrs later I am only tapping the ice berg of my health issues. Finally finding answers with hope of truly healing in the near future. Thank you! This was AMAZING!!! 💗💗💗

Thank you so much for this video, it may help me to find a solution to my problem. I am struggling to balance my thyroid hormones after my thyroidectomy due to thyroid papillary/follicular variant thyroid cancer that spread to the trachea. I have taken Levothyroxine 130, 150, 175, then 150/175 alternating; which took my TSH to .11. Now I am back to 150. And my hair still falling and my nails are too brittle. I wonder if I am lacking Magnesium or any other mineral.

Literally every lecture on thyroid problems focuses on HYPOthyroidism. I watch hoping to hear how to resolve my Graves Disease or about the long term effects of the meds but no one ever talks about it. He mentioned it once but said nothing about it. I don’t even know if the dietary suggestions relate. Should I do the opposite of the suggestions or the same? He could’ve easily added a slide for treatment protocols and suggested interventions for hyper after the one for hypo. It would’ve only added a couple minutes. I realize we’re only 10% but throw us a bone. We also have autoimmune thyroiditis.

I am 70 years old & had my thyroid burned with radioisotope treatments 39 years ago. The last 10 years I have seen an internal medicine doctor who is also a doctor of natural and holistic medicine. She told me to stop Gluten and monitors my diet carefully. Your video information was not new information to me but I think as much as you tried, your information is so highly technical you lost the interest of some of my friends who watched this with me because there was too much medical terminology used and the explanation was above most lay people's understanding.

Thank you for your research. This is all and good...actually great information. But do you realize how many doctors just DO NOT understand this and treat patients with Proton pump inhibitors..... Omeprazole (Prilosec), Lansoprazole (Prevacid), Rabeprazole (Aciphex), Esomeprazole (Nexium), Pantoprozole (Protonics) and Reglan, Tums, Alka Seltzer, and even antidepressants such as Effexor. These docs are loading up folks with high rebate generics that are giving 3 or 4 PPIs a day. My daughter has been on 6 different meds with several PPIs given plus the Effexor then developed severe burning then had developed more problems including Gastro Piresys(sp?) , Bleeding during bowel movements, more Severe pain. Anyway I am not a doctor but told her to get off all of these meds because I read where Effexor can cause the gastric pyresis and more gastric issues. She weaned off the Effexor slowly. Started taking 5,000 of D3 and Folbic (B vitamins) and remained on and off the protonix as needed (taking Protonix about 2 week duration at a time). The improvement is unbelievable. I just can not believe that docs write off patients and tell them there is nothing else they can do. They are defensive with prescribing certain generic gastro meds. And refer the patient from one doctor to another causing the patient to extend "care" (definitely in quotes here) beyond 2 years, lots of money throw away to hear doc refer the patient again to another doctor. The GI doctors never test for thyroid, etc. If it's outside their spectrum of their gastro umbrella they do no testing because they say insurance will not pay. But then again, they are insulted if the patient even asked if it can be a thyroid issue. They release (or fire) patients and the patient is left untreated. They are doing surgeries and procedures over and over 3 or 4 Colonoscopies, several endoscopies, etc. And each time they are referred the next doctor does more and the cycle continues. We are sick of the healthcare system in Mississippi! Just sick of it! It is a major referral system with no definite diagnosis, not proper testing, and our non-medical background insurance folks are dictating the care of patients. It's all about money. The insurance system has caused a total chaos in care due to docs not going outside of their small umbrella of care so they jump in and milk the insurance for money and issue high rebate meds. Like I said this info is good but if Mississippi docs are not intelligent enough or care enough to think outside of the box and really try to figure out what is wrong ...they give up and refer patient to another gastro doc. Thymeynjust will not refer to an endocrinologist because they are smarter than the patient. Thyroid problems run in my family and the tunnel vision docs are very hard hearted to patients here. Research has got to pass this info and train docs to treat patients and not the symptoms!!!!!! What is sad is they did a process of elimination and has now lost her uterus and ovaries, gall bladder over a 2 year period and she is still suffering as they all thought this was causing all her health problems.

His way of talking & thinking lowers my stress levels already. Seems kind and caring. I am always relieved when they look at the actual cause of things and not focus on treating the symptoms. Thank you Sir, for beeing honest with us. Also about the repetitive useless tsh-test😪🤨 And then they get mad at you for demanding to check on the actually needed blood values (if that's the correct english term for it). I need this exact presentation in my mother tongue to be able to fully understand everything he explained. Any thyroid problem is a nightmare. Leaky gut really is a serious, exausting, painful, annoying condition. It's also affecting your social life a lot. No more dinner invitations etc. People keep asking if you still have to avoid certain foods and if you are still feeling tired etc. Almost every week over and over again. And no matter how often you explain it to them they keep asking and complaining. Zero understanding. Guess they are all "too healthy" themselves🙃Lucky them👍🏼 Whenever you're home you can manage to eat a lot more conscious but once you're out you are forced to adjust. (Unless you live in or close to a big city maybe, where chances of alternatives are more likely given).

Problem with Research is...... The positive findings are Not passed to the physician care in my state of Mississippi in my opinion based on my personal experience, and knowledge is retained only inside the research community, and research with positive findings increases federal Grant funding to research entities and the cycle continues. Because if the research shows that their solution is positive and works in the medical care community, then will these positive results cease the continued fed Grant funding to the research community...therefore the justification is difficult to prove if research scientists want their studies to continue. So when will doctors respect the knowledge of scientists and actually have the power to expand beyond their tunneled GI (or any specialist) knowledge and when will our insurance system allow a specialized doctor to run test outside their discipline? Because it is impossible, TOTALLY impossible, to find any GI Doctor (or any specialized doctor) that will run a test outside their tunnel visioned "care"? This starts with insurance allowing doctors to run testing outside their discipline, it starts with doctors thinking outside of the box, it starts with ceasing all pharma rebates. All of the above seems to drive the quality of patient healthcare in our state...in my opinion based on experience with friends, family, and my own care. It's disgusting and unacceptable.. There are no excuses for patient suffering! None!

I went to ''the best one in town'' here in my city, he was only interested in lab tests results (which as we know, are highly inconclusive and don't reveal a lot). He was not interested in anything i had to say, nor interested in how i looked, my symptoms etc. Needless to say, I never went back. That is how they are trained these days... hopeless!

This was one of the most informational videos I have seen. I wish my western doctor would watch it and learn something. Thank you for confirming what I have felt all along. I was diagnosed 14 yrs ago with fibromyalgia which was really the triad of hashimotos, adrenal insufficency and gut issues IBS and SIBO however western medicine doesn't agree with me because certain labs like TSH didn't show it but my symptoms always have. A lot was triggered by my PTSD and wrong diet. I am eating a high fat carnivore diet and supplementing with iodine for the last 30 days and I have already cleared my IBS and SIBO. Eating butter when I get stressed has dramatically helped my adrenal insufficency.

Thank you so much! One question, taking medications for others ailments like RA for life would interfere or have influence in the function of the thyroid? ( medicines like Enbrel- Rinvoq, ect) .

@@maxinethirlwall8953 I understand yes, the problem is she doesn’t and she is paranoid and doesn’t trust me. It is truly sad. It’s changed her, and all I can do is help my kids. I know another person that suffers from Hashimoto’s disease and she is a monster. Most sad because it the food and chemicals. That make the real problem.

@Rabbit ,,Bill Wow. Well, I have Hashimotos, and though I've never been easy, I'm pretty sure I'm easier now. Just too tired to fight/fuss.

Very interesting hypothesis. I suspected something like this as a cause of those personality disorder type things. Thank You for speaking up.

The slide about the study with 169 patients was described as those specifically with Graves, not Hashimoto's autoimmune.

My daughter was born without a working thyroid and she’s been on Synthroid for 10 years lately. She’s experiencing some very alarming side effects where her legs get in tremendous pain. If she gets a feeling of being ice, cold has headaches and he cannot sleep or sit still he’s lost for 3 to 4 days at a time, I am wondering if it has something to do with her diet that is interfering with her Synthroid medication she does not eat vegetables or fruit unless it’s in spaghetti and she does not drink milk very often. Could this have something to do with her horrible eating habits, she pretty much lives off chips popcorn chicken nuggets, french fries I encourage her to eat eggs and I also make healthier meals hiding the vegetables in those meals so that she still gets her vitamins. She is also taking multivitamins supplement.

There's an older book by a Doctor Doris Rapp. It's called "Is This Your Child"? It's interesting. I was on a macrobiotic diet when I suffered from severe endometriosis for years. Including on my bowels. I never felt better in my life. I did have a complete hysterectomy at age 32. I'm 63 now. I've had a parathyroid removed. I have a tumor on my adrenaline gland. Absolutely 💯 my rotten diet is adding to this. If you can afford it I'd suggest you try to work with your daughter in changing her diet. In the long run even fruits, and veggies have been sprayed with Round Up. But just to start her off will be great. Macrobiotics again truly cured me. Sending you positive vibes. It's awful when it's our kids suffering and we wish we could take it on from them. You have a chance here, mom. 🕉

It's her diet. Trust me! I was getting that too. We were selling a house that had a small kitchen so I took everything in the house and put it in storage to make the house look bigger. I bought boxed foods and frozen foods and we ate like that for a while. The real estate agent and broker was horrible and the house didn't sell. We changed agents and the house was sold a week after. Meanwhile... The foods were hurting me. Bad. We moved and I kind of got used to eating like that because then the new house, we were remodeling and tearing down walls and rebuilding. Barely a kitchen. Fast foods. Take outs. Boxed and bagged foods. My husband is skinny, so I have to feed him. Can't give him little plates of cute foods. With all that smell and hunger and work... I was way too happy to eat all of that too. All this during menopause! Couldn't walk. Couldn't sleep. Pain. Aches. Misery. And we had our oldest son kept bringing boxed donuts and more ice cream and just crap in the house. Finally... My son left back up north and the kitchen is done and our lives are back to eating fish and quinoa and avocado and the good stuff like that. I feel GREAT! I did have ice cream the other day... And I had issues the very next morning. Went for walk and walked crooked. Definitely the food.

Unfortunately, it looks like the presenter and crew didn't do a rehearsal on stage. And he didn't review the material with his assistants who created the slideshow. This distracted the audience from his highly informative presentation.
