What a wonderful explanation Mike. 14 months ago when I thought I committed it and I had no idea what it meant, but I did know that it was something that Jesus spoke of, it made me believe the lie that Jesus's death at the cross was not powerful enough. I just didn't understand the fundamental idea that it had to do with someone never accepting Jesus in the first place and that that person is in that continued state. I read Joseph Prince's book Destined To Reign and it gave me so many wonderful answers on what Jesus was really saying to the religious leaders. For me it was a huge relief that Jesus was talking to the people who absolutely wanted nothing to do with Jesus's Messiah ship and they were the ones who plotted the kill Jesus on multiple occasions. I love how Joseph Prince says "This clearly does not apply to a Christian". That makes sense. Because in Titus chapter 3 it says that believers are washed and regenerated by the holy Spirit
