@@lessence2226 De is EXTREMELY private that's why you don't see a lot of stories about him. He loves his privacy he and Magoo were a lot alike (not into the fame). Sounds weird but I honestly wouldn't want a story. Reason being is there's not a lot of info about him and I would hate to see someone just make up lies. I know Jeury wouldn't do that and do his research for sure ❤ I have love and respect for the family and wouldn't wanna see that happen to anyone honestly.

Melvin is my uncle. You did your research. I wish my uncle felt more appreciated when he was alive. He hated the entertainment life. One thing about my uncle, he always been a private person, all anyone could do was ASSUME. Aaliyah death really did shattered him. I remember like it was yesterday, as a kid when this happened to Aaliyah and I called him smh I feel the pain all over again just writing this. Ppl loved him, I wish he would’ve got the respect and love shown to him in his life form. Smh RIP Uncle Melvin. Thank you, for covering this.

While these internet trolls claim that he was so wack because he wouldn't participate in the industry's dysfunctional mess, lets you know you he did the right thing. Yes leaving social media and staying true to yourself. Entertainers don't have to prove anything to the public. Just enjoy their art and stop worrying about their personal lives. Magoo was a private person. There is nothing wrong with that! A lot of society are weirdo's! #ripmagoo 1972-2023

Like Magoo's Aunt, there are relatives in our family who will step in, fill a void, and serve as a surrogate mother or mentor. My mother would call it a "ram in the bush." It's a biblical allusion. I'm glad she was there to show him the love, support, compassion, and guidance all children deserve. 🖤

So glad you covered this 🥺Literally so upset that his passing got barely any acknowledgement from the hip hop blogs 😭 the way I didn’t hear about him passing until a couple months ago. RIP MAGOO 🕊️

This makes me so sad😢 I loved Magoos collaborations with Timbaland. That was a big part of my childhood. Sad to know he didn't get the recognition he deserved in life. He seemed like a kind and gentle soul. RIP to him, he will definitely be missed🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I'm from VA Beach, and I remember hearing Magoo announcing his retirement from the industry on the radio(103 Jamz ❤). I was soooooo hurt, but I thought he would always come back. I'm glad he left us with timeless music, to never forget him. RIP Maganoo❤.

Incorrect. Kweli is a respected emcee. I'm guessing you've never traveled.

@@JimiMagnificent He is a respected MC but a b*tch A$$ podcaster whom should have keep his dumb opinion to himself! McGoo couldn't do nothing about his natural voice so that statement by Kweli was unfair!

RIP Magoo! Always thought you had talent and was very unique.. Talib have no business talking about anyone. I still rock to the music. Timbaland, Missy and, Aaliyah the best music during that time .. ❤❤❤❤
