Your property is beautiful! 😍. Glad you got the sheep taken care of and back with her buddies. I would’ve been so worried as well. God Bless 😊❤

Thank you! We fell in love with the view the moment we saw it and pinch ourselves daily knowing it is ours. I was so worried for the little girl and am so happy she is hanging safely with her pals in the safety of the pasture. Thanks for watching and checking in!

Brooke Keep you a spray can of purple 🟣 wound spray on the farm ! I used it on my horses 🐴 my dogs 🐕 & my goats 🐐 everytime they got scuffed up or had a puncher wound! It's a antiseptic/ bacterial spray. Just ask any farm and garden or Tractor supply store for purple 🟣 animal wound soray. Then next time you ever have any animal get a scuff or wound spray they purple spray on them. Its ths best stuff I ever used & i always kept a fresh can in the tack room of my barn snd kept one in the house for my house dogs. It works wonders 😁👍🏼

My heart hurt knowing how concerned you were for the ewe, and then the bite. Your love and concern for all your animals comes through in your videos. You are good stewards with what God has blessed you with. You have shared all aspects of your homesteading, the good and the heartbreak. Thank you for giving us a true glimpse into what life on the ranch is like. Us city folk (ok I mean me, not Dave) really appreciate that!❤

The new waterer is awesome!! I never knew there was something like that. Waddles tail waggles always make me smile!! 💛 What a blessing to have all the pork! I’ve always liked watching canning videos. My grandma canned so many yummy things. Pressure cookers scare me though. Sheep!!!! New additions are always fun! Capone was just trying to help. I had a border collie go after my chickens once. One didn’t survive. She could tell by the tone of your voice that you wanted to help her. The calf’s are so much fun to watch.
@freedomranchhomestead79616 ай бұрын
Yes, we are so happy we found that waterer online...it will help tremendously! Pressure canning scares me as well, but I am willing to take the chance for that delicious meat 🤤. I know Capone was doing his job, but I am concerned for the future about him taking it a bit too far. Yes, the calves are AMAZING...so much fun to watch them be so playful. Great to hear from you and we pray you and your loved ones are doing well ❤️

@@freedomranchhomestead7961 Maybe look into pulling an e collar on Capone. Don’t use the shocking part, just the vibration part. I had to use one on my GSD Panzer for a short time because of his obsession with my inside cat. It taught him to “leave” her alone when he felt that vibration. It’s just a thought. Thank you for your prayers. I’ve still got your dad and your family in my prayers. 💛 I look forward to the next video. I’ve still got your quilt set to the side 😉

@@denisedavis6596 Yes, we have used the vibration portion of our collar before on him, it has just been a long time since doing so. That is a great idea...will have to charge it up. My dad just finished his chemo and radiation and will go next month to see if it worked. I appreciate the prayers for him and for keeping my quilt saved ❤

@@freedomranchhomestead7961 oh, I’m happy to hear that you’ve used an e collar in the past. Not everyone agrees with using them. I’ve always looked at them as another tool in the toolbox. That’s good news that your dad finished his chemo. I hope things go well for him. Of course your quilt is saved. I’ve got your name on it. Take care of yourself. 💛

Hello there 😊 so good to see the farm animals looking good and happy,that was one stubborn ewe!!!, Capone meant no harm he could have killed her if he wanted to but he didn't,I hope the sheep learn to relax and enjoy the ranch ❤Gabe did a good job 👏👏👏hanky panky indeed 😂😂😂

Hello Michelle! We definitely have a menagerie of animals now and are loving it! I'm glad the sheep are all safe and sound and mingling well with the horses and cows. We have to really watch Capone now...I hope he wasn't intending on killing her, but I just don't want to take any chances anymore, Looks like we might need to get another type of dog to get that job done in the future (one more animal added to the mix won't harm us 🤪!). Praying you and your loved ones are doing well💖

Brooke the reason the pigs been crawling in the water trough is because they're Cooling off. Not a joke 😂 really pigs have no sweat glads and have to find a wet place to wallow to cool off or otherwise they'll die from heat exhaustion. I guess you know this I'm sure Chuck does but if they dont have a wet creek or place that stays wet to wallow ? Then i suggest you take a water hose inside and develop them a mud wallow so they can wallow & cool down. 😁👍🏼

You need to get a border collie to work the animals the German shepherds are great protectors, but they need to be specifically trained to work with animals. They have more of a killer instinct then I herder where has border collies were bread for that just saying
@freedomranchhomestead79616 ай бұрын
Yes, we have talked about getting a herding pup and will possibly get one in the future since we now Know Capone can be a bit much. Thanks for the input and for watching!

Caprice isn’t a bad dog he’s doing what he was bred to do protect and it’s not in his nature to herd but to track and kill is that’s why the police use the breed

I have watched your channel since the very 1st video you put out. BUT….. after watching this video I can’t understand how completely out of order you treated though’s pure sheep. Letting you dogs chase skitty scared sheep and the in the end one of your dogs grabs it by the neck and takes it down. What did you think the outcome was going to be. I am very sorry and please take this with the respect and kindness. But you should not have the animals if you do not know how to treat them and look after them. Use common sense. German shepherd and sheep is not a good mix unless trained. And your German shepherd dogs are NOT trained for that. I will probably be blocked for this but someone had to speak Honestly on here

We are definitely not a Hallmark channel. We have always been willing to show our mistakes and our successes. We definitely learned from this experience. Thanks for watching and you will not be blocked😊
@freedomranchhomestead79616 ай бұрын
Believe me, it was quite upsetting and we now know that Capone is not safe to have around the animals in that capacity. He has always done well in the past, but he crossed the line. We are trying to share the whole experience, the good and the bad, learning as we go. I debated whether or not to show this, but trusted that the viewers would see that we are learning and felt awful about what happened. We appreciate you watching and hope you understand that this life experience is full of mistakes and learning opportunities.

@@freedomranchhomestead7961 I thank you for reading my comment and understanding. I am glad you are taking action and changing things like limiting Capone interactions with the animals. @Faze3 Wait a minute first off these are fine people Chuck and Brooke are that sheep 🐏 wasn't hurt ! Capone the dog that's his name done his job and held the ewe 🐑 down until they got their he never broke the skin only pulled the sheep's hair out as he held it around the neck! That's what German shepherds are bred for herding sheep. Another thing insinuating that these fine Christian people are mean to their animals is totally false and it's outta line! Whether you know these people well enough to know this channel isn't for making money this channel is for a non profit organization organized by Brooke and Chuck to get this farm ready to give troubled children a second chance in life who's been neglected by drug addict or alcholic parents. I'm sure someone that kind who buys 277 acres of land and is building a farm of all animals for children to get aquatinted with to take stress off of them from their troubled lives....... CERTAINLY ARE NOT MEAN TO THEIR ANIMALS!!!! Another thing the bible says don't judge your brother for the splinter in his eye 👁️ when you may have a whole log 🪵 in your own eye! Now I love this family and I can assure you they are good loving Christian caring people & if you haven't figured that out by now no way you've seen all their videos . I'm just saying
