This song hits home. Hardcore. The very opening about not brawling your demons and beating them is a very truthful thing. I have severe PTSD. And this song is literally one of the only ones I've heard that hits the nail on the head that well. I'm impressed. Great song.

Big +1. I still cherish the opportunity to see Sonic Syndicate open for Nightwish in 2007. At the time I wasn't a Sonic Syndicate fan, but after that opening performance I was absolutely blown away. Roland's voice and stage presence was a big part of that.

I legit shed a tear when I found out Roland had left, but for Phobos sake people, some of you are acting like TU is totally done for based off of a single! As much as I hate the exit of Roland, I'm willing to give Jonathan a chance. I've been a fan since the beginning, and I can tell you that Richard will pull it all together and make a great album. that's a promise. I'll miss you Roland, and you'll still be pumping loud and clear through my headphones, speakers and whatnot. To TU, I'm ready to hear what this new album has in store!

Nathan is not bad actually. He showed on their self titled album that he is pretty good. However I cannot find words for their new album (Confessions) to express how crap it is. Jonathan is talented but he should sing in another band not in TU. Funny that if the label pushes a band to do worse music than before everyone loses their minds and start hating (Sonic Syndicate) but now when the band themselves decided to do a bad decision and get a whiny vocalist to fill Roland's absence everyone is so understanding and conforming. Don't get me wrong I don't hate them I'm just disappointed... Of course they can do what they want (as their band name says). But I'm not a mindless fan who claps for everything they do, if they'll do music I don't like I won't listen to them. We listen to music to satisfy our needs not to support a band we don't like anymore (talking about songs not members). I admit that they made songs I don't really like but they also made the best songs I heard in my life so that's why they became my favourite band and I supported them in any way I could. For me this new song is not among the best I heard in my life moreover it's one of I don't like from them. Well time will tell.

Screw some of the naysayers in the comments section (I respect your opinions but jesus, some of you are such drama queens). Sorry I cannot consider this as a chance since this song is nothing compared to their previous work. And I don't want to be rude or harsh because I respect them for what they did before. The Unguided is (maybe it will be a was after the announcement) my favourite band and when I first heard songs like: Inception, Defector DCXVI, Oblivion, Phobos Grip etc. I had an epic feeling. This song has no effect on me.

Yes this song would be awesome with Roland's voice :) I liked TU because their tracks were melodic, catchy and powerful. And the last one is missing from this song completely. I'm not against changes, I just don't like Jonathan's voice. I think they could have choose a much better person than him. I'm just so disappointed you know.. I started the video and I was like oh pretty good, then I saw Roland and at 40 seconds I was like WTF? I was not expected this. Huge disappointment for me. TU is my favourite band and it kinda shocked me...

the more often I hear this song the more I'm beginning to like Jonathan's voice. If they keep the kinda rythm, heaviness and drive of this song into the next album it might become their best, even better than Hellfrost :D And of course I wish Roland the best of luck for whatever he choses to do now. This song lacks any sort of energy I admired original Sonic Syndicate and later The Unguided for. "Hellfrost" was the bomb and none album TU released after that came even close to it. Too slow, lacked energy, lacks screams. It all has became too generic. I liked Roland and I like the new guy too, but they would need to re-define metalcore genre adding new elements to it...

They have a thorough reasoning behind the decision from the various parties about the Roland's departure. But if I am to summarize it here; 1. When The Unguided was founded, with just Richard & Roger Sjunnesson and Roland Johansson, they emphasized that they're going to make a trilogy albumwise and it was going to be a hobby. With the release of "Lust and Loathing", the trilogy got finished and everythingt beyond that has been uncertain. They have also been vocal about this when the band founded, those who were already around when they released their first EP "Nightmareland" might remember this. 2. This was Roland's decision, no one else's. He didn't get kicked out by the band nor the label, Roland wanted to spend more time at home with his family and dedicate all of his time on his career. So there's no blood between the members by any means, and Roland said he might even do more guest vocals now. He's not giving up on music by any means. 3. The band has known the new lead singer for 2 years already, so to them he's not a new face. They've been (including the new singer) open about the fact that their sound will inevitably change and are not pretending it won't. But the new singer will try to live up to Roland the best he can. These are just my thoughts. Come on, give him a chance at least. I didn't like this first time I heard it, arguably because I was expecting Roland. I gave it a few goes and I quite enjoy it. It's too radio edited in this version for me, but they did the same thing with their video to "Heartseeker" and even cutout large parts of the song. The band had said that they wanted to emphasize the new clean vocals with this video, and that the actual album/EP version will be more balanced. I find this to be enjoyable music, and I'm looking forward to their future releases!

I hope the best for Roland and the rest of the band. The duo of Richard and Roland in Sonic Syndicate literally opened my eyes to so much more music then any other band by far. First band I loved with a blend of vocals and that first love introduced me to bands like Thy Art is Murder, Scar Symmetry, Solution .45 and Rings Of Saturn. Metal means so much to me personally and I would like to thank all of The Unguided for their music. Hellfrost will hold a huge place in my heart. It's terribly sad to see Roland go, honestly I don't know if The Unguided will be the same to me. But I truthfully hope the best for you guys in your years to come.

on a less depressing note, this IS good. took a few listens to get used to Jonathans higher octave, but its not out of place. my question is how pure is this sound in relation to the future? as in, did Rolland participate in the construction? can we look forward to more of the same? or is this our last taste of the past and big change is coming? either way, by no means and im turning my back on TU. you guys have given, and given up, so much to bring us something true. it takes nothing for us to give back the same love youve shown us. so i hope everyone gives this a chance.
