Not to revive a dead thread, but I think a lot of it is due to vocal styling as well. A lot of Quinn's songs with the Unholy Trinity are sultry oldies, and the era has a lot of backup vocals, so while there's a lead vocal, that's only one half of the showcase because you have that beautifully built vocal line weaving in-between the main vocal's verses. It holds down the chorus, it's the part everyone can quickly learn and sing along to, and for anyone with an ear for talent you can pick apart the harmony and catch how gifted those singers are, because some of those backup vocals are the most challenging parts of the song. A lot of Rachel's songs with Santana are given added parts to harmonize with the vocal or throw in ad-libs for flavor, but it ultimately compliments the main first and foremost, and doesn't sound complete by itself. This era had songs like "Brave" or "Love Song" for example, which are beautifully performed by the cast members, but they are made to be more intricate than they originally are, and with the bulk of the Unholy Trinity's songs you can make everyone happy without changing much. Santana takes the high harmony, Quinn takes the main vocal, and Brittany takes the low harmony. Easier.

I hate how, because of Ryan Murphy didnt like Dianna, we haven't see more of Quinn after they graduated. She wasn't at Brittana's wedding, and there is this line when Santana says "I can't talk to Brit now and I have no friends and the fact that Quinn lives 2 hours from here and I didn't even think about calling her must mean something" or anything like that. It is so sad that we haven't see more of unholy trinity moments because of Ryan. argh
