: This episode of The Unit is titled, ‘The First Farewell’. As the male performers join ‘Crying Fist’, things get more heated and shocking truth are revealed with expose and counterattack. After that, the official announcement of the vote results commences. The moment of happiness by the announcement of the top nine performers only lasts for so long until the leaders of each group have to go back to their practice room to inform the ones who must go home. Everyone lumps the first farewell as they burst out into tears.

Oh my god... Its way too emotional, the way the eliminations take place, like... They're not all gathered in a huge hall waiting for the result, if they get eliminated they don't have to go right away. They get to cry as much as they need, to hug each other and say "see you later", its the first time I see this in a survival program. I feel like if they didn't get the opportunity to say their goodbyes then they would need it so much after. It creates an atmosphere of real friendship, and that's just so beautiful to see.

I agree with you, at first I was against The Unit, because the concept feels really horrible, but this survival is really ... human. They can say goodbye, cry, hug each other, and Rain is really supportive and don't wants them to give up, and cheers for them. I finally think that it is a good program.

They will :) Look at the people in Produce 101, even the debuted ones like Nu'est, Hot Shot, and Samuel, they became more well-known and successful than they were before. But then, here we also have another 2 members of Hot Shot joining the show, so I can say, it's not only for the group, but it's also about individually popularity as well. They came to reboot their abilities, and to know what they're lacking on, and some were popular for other things other than people looking at their talents (ex. A.C.E. with the hot pants controversies). As they came to show what they got and what they needed to improve on, on these survival shows, people will surely know them more :) I'm glad they came up with these survival shows for the small companies, ALTHOUGH, there may have been some trainees from the big 3 companies (well, except for SM, but since they WERE from SM before, I think people also still expected much from them a bit more than the ones from smaller companies too, though they are currently ex-SM trainees, because it shows from their trainees though they are the former now, they still were, of how the companies trained them and how their artists were all successful) on these kind of shows too, but since there are more trainees and artists from smaller companies, it's still a good idea. Because people be all over the artists and trainees from the big 3 companies, they tend to overlooked at other groups and artists from smaller companies, so this is good :) After this, I'm pretty sure, they will be more successful.

Even though it’s heartbreaking to watch, it is nice to know that they get a proper farewell. They get to know what they placed (instead of just “you didn’t make the cut”) and they get to talk to Rain who gives them advice and gather round like that together. I know other shows probably have some of these too like saying goodbye to everyone at the end when they are all packed and actually leaving that moment but it’s nice to see because it shows just how loved those contestants were by the others.

I know from the beginning that this is a survival program so many elimination episodes will take place, I thought I'd prepared my heart. Watching many reality and survial shows here in the US, of course, there are certain shows that I feel emotional with the contestants. Not many though. But this one is overflown with tears, sweat and blood I might say. I literally cried from the beginning to end. My nose was running. Tears can seem to stop. It was too much emotion. I love the show for its polititeness towards one another, care, kindness and harsh critism but for the better of you, not to demean your talent. My eyes are swollen up now, need to rest for tomorrow. I rather she don't get in the top 9 though.. Like yes she's very talented.. but her time has not come yet. Furthermore she's a trainee.. which means she's not supposed to be in THE UNIT. She should have been in Mix9.. If she gets top9, the public backlash will be greater..

I cried so much , they all deserve so much. They are all amazing singers and they deserve everything. Seeing them sing Miracles in December made me cry , in just 70 days they grew a friendship and bond and they have to let that go until they see each other again. They all did great and amazing.

This episode was brutal omg, making the leaders read the papers is too much (and soya even had to read her own paper) Seeing Lena's goodbye broke my heart, I was really cheering for her

I think it was better than how Mix9 and Produce 101 do their eliminations. Like, I know it brutal for the leaders to have to be the ones reading the paper and having to put that weight on them, but they were all alone with their groups when it happened. They were able to have a more heart felt goodbyes to each other without having to be eliminated and told what rank you are in front of everyone-which is kind of embarrassing.
