Boiling liquid in 3 dimensions is described by a model known as the 3d Ising Model. The 0.11008 is what is called a critical exponent (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ising_critical_exponents). The technique used to calculate the critical exponents for the 3D Ising model is called "conformal bootstrap". This was calculated in the following paper arxiv.org/pdf/1603.04436.pdf.

At 35:55 there are significant objections to prof. Tong's statement that quantum physics is not implicated in the study of consciousness. General diagrams like that (i.e., 'fields arranged by purity' and importance to each other) are OK as a rule of thumb but are very questionable in terms of their universal validity. At 51:21 prof. Tong exhibits the illusion - not of free will but - of the knowability of science. He might need to traverse the stages that Dirac did and hopefully (for his own sake) arrive at the truth about the nature of this world and humanity. Scientists (especially the great ones like him) should stick to science (best, to their branch of science only) and be humbled by the puny knowledge they acquire, not get arrogant and overreach for they sound foolish.

@@frankdimeglio8216 Nope! Electromagnetism cannot be Gravity. Electromagnetism can be shielded, gravity cannot. These interactions can only be united if we postulate at least 11 dimensions. But that is impossible, otherwise we would not exist. Life is only possible under the conditions of 4-dimensional space-time (3 space + 1 time dimension), read Einstein and you will know what I mean.
