We are so privileged in the western world but are we happy and at peace? Probably not as much as the eastern cultures who seem to us to have much less, and yet their simple lives and beliefs are to be admired. Thanks for these vids 🙏🏻🙏🏻

No we are not happy at all in the western world,we have very artificial lifestyle and even the smile is nowadays artificial plastic smile. Happiness comes from heart and it’s a feeling. I’m returning to my roots back in India as wife and kids don’t want to live this natural original lifestyle

Excuse me but at 10'05/10'08 it is not the statue of Padmasambhava but the statue of Maitripada, or Maitripa, a great Mahasiddha of the 11th century who had the vision of Mahakala in this cave. Thank you for your nices videos I enjoy to watch and makes me remember my own journeys in India. Cheers.

The Lord Buddha would move from place to place regularly staying in the same places - very much as wondering Sadhus do today. It's not beyond the bounds of reason that he'd return to these caves, as he did at Vultures Peak annually and stay there for an extended period - such as the Vassa (Pansa) retreat. Also, he'd go out on alms, perhaps travelling many miles to be offered food. Hence he would've meditated in the caves and wouldn't have eaten there so technically the Monk was right, but it didn't mean that He did not need to eat.

Bet this place would have looked really creepy during the Buddhas time. A lot of vegetation etc have obviously been cleared by people who live there. Imagine what it would look like during the Buddhas time. The place would be filled with wild animals and what not. Only a Buddha could live there for six years.

Hi ! Nice video, thanks. Donation is first virtue to become a Buddha, it is no wonder indians ask money for their work from us "rich" westerners, you can see that as an occasion for practice towards full awakening. Did gautama spend 6 years without eating ? Some people can practice long fasting, nourrishing from prana... But you should not push yourself out of limits as Gautama awakening story says. I surely go to this cave as my tibetan buddhism refuge name Gompo means Mahakala 在俭的空泼 !
