Another reason why the rockets are unlucky is that before Sampson had the injuries, they had a chance to trade him for Drexler, before everyone knew he would be good, and a first round draft pick, which they would have used to pick Michael Jordan. I'm a Kings fan and I agree how we could've gotten Dirk and Pierce, but that wasn't what we needed at the time. That 2002 team was easily the favorable Finals winner, the Nets were weak af. And of course we've been robbed in the draft lottery, everyone wants to see the bigger marketing franchises get the top picks *ahem!* Lakers! This is all business and everything the NBA does is for interest and getting more money, so the LA Lakers winning that championship probably gained alot more interest in $$$ for the NBA than what the Kings would've made them. Especially now, ESPN and the NBA dick ride Steph Curry on tv all the time because he's the crowd favorite (even for people that don't even watch basketball) that's why the Warriors get all the best calls, Curry gets all the best calls, and that's why Draymond Green hasn't been suspended an entire season for doing 100 times the shit Demarcus Cousins gets technicals for

I watched that youtube video documentary about the 2002 kings and its amazing how that led me to learning more about the rigging in each era with each nba great and big market team including the knicks pick of patrick Ewing in which they folded the corner of the envelope and how the business that owned the knicks sponsored the draft YIKES!

You can't say that Penny Hardaway shouldn't have been traded for Chris Webber because when Shaq was playing in Orlando, Penny was great but when Shaq left, Penny started to have knee problems. Also, would you rather have two big men who demand the ball, or would you have a point guard who doesn't need the ball and a big man who demands the ball.
@warrenfields39638 жыл бұрын
Shaq really didn't wanna play with Chris Webber and penny and him did have chemistry before he got picked. And if you ask me if it wasn't for Orlando's fans who disrespected both shaq and penny by saying they weren't worth their contracts they would've probably stayed and won a ring.

I watched a lot of the video at least the first half and then I skimmed through the rest looking for the Celtics as being the one of the unluckiest NBA franchises due to their drafting two players (back to back 86, 87) to replace Bird (who you have mentioned in your title but I didn't see the story line in the video) only to have each one of these players to die before they could experience stardom (Len Bias and Reggie Lewis). If you want to revise your video, here is an excerpt of a comment that I left on someone else's video. Perhaps you could extrapolate from to have a back drop for your video. You could pick up from 'Another story linking the Celtics to Bias death was the death of Reggie Lewis: A story even more sad than Len Bias's death was the story of his younger brother Jay Bias who was beloved just as much as Len was in the DC area. Jay was killed by a gunman who shot him at a mall not too far from where the brother's grew up four years after the death of Bias. Bias died in the summer of 86 (the same year the space challenger disaster where we lost 7 crew members Jan 86) We all were rooting for Jay who was a great basketball player in his own right. He didn't have all the physical gifts that Len had and he probably wasn't going to make in the NBA but most people from this area was praying that Jay could pick up the pieces for his brother. Some fool killed Jay at a local mall over, if I remember it correctly, either a girl or Jay just happen to glance at the dude. The death of Jay was really sad and tore the family and the community up. Another story linking the Celtics to Bias's death was the death of Reggie Lewis who the Celtics drafted to eventually replace Bird after the death of Bias. Reggie was a great player from Baltimore, not too far from Hyattsville MD (The area where the Bias's grew up and not too far from College Park Maryland home of Maryland University where Len Bias became a superstar) Baltimore is straight up 295/I95 and about 30 mins away. Reggie played High School ball at Paul Laurence Dunbar a team that dominated during those time and was always nationally ranked going back to Reggie Williams and David Wingate days. DC/MD basketball was rich during those times. Anyways, Reggie died on the court in 93. Can't remember if it were in a game or practice but the poor man died on the court in the midst of a promising career with the Celtics. The Celtics had two devastating losses with both Len and Reggie being from the same area. General Manager Red Auerbach was devastated by both of the young men's death and Auerbach lived and coached in the DC area in his early days and so he knew about the rich basketball history of the DC area and Baltimore. With the death of both Len and Reggie, the Celtics organization went into a decline for years and had not recovered until they were able to rebuild with Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo

You can't put the Blazers at fault for picking Greg Oden. All scouts were pointing to his potential as the next great big man. No one took him to the doctor to be checked six months after. The end result, one leg was shorter than the other.

Chris Webber and Shaq wouldn't have worked out. They both wanted to be the star players and that wouldn't have worked out. Shaq wanted them to draft Penny Hardaway to begin with
