Wa'alaykoum salaam اتفق is in single form, القردان in dual form we can say: اِتَّفَقَ القِرْدَانِ and القِرْادَانِ اِتَّفَقَا

@3:01 why present form of Verb is used while translation is in past

Because it should be فيما كان يصعد القرد But Kaana here is omitted cuz we understand from the context that it's about the past.In Arabic as well in other languages , often words are omitted.Like for example in English instead of saying Do you want tea or coffee ,you would most likely hear :tea or coffee?

Because that's collective noun.I mean mawz means bananas and one banana would be mawza (موزة) But it's muthakkar not muannath I think in dialects u might tanaawalihim but not in the Fushaa.
