Hi, amazing flight - however I was wondering your dimensions for your propellers, especially for division C this year. What is a good place to start and experiment? And is it good to max it out?

Good questions. Custom-built propeller is the last mile of this competition. It is the most challenging and most rewarding task in my view. Every airplane is a bit different, though, even with the same design/span/etc. Some wings can take bigger diameter propellers. Some only fly well with smaller propellers. Mastery in building skills also plays a part here. Only experiments can show how big a propeller an airplane can handle. (See my "Apache24s: A tale of two propellers" video for one such experiment.) Besides, there are many more parameters to tweak in addition to diameter. If you want a good starting point, a set of parameters for my OpenSCAD propeller program, feel free to send me an email, aero.martin at yahoo dot com. Good luck! :-)

Is it F1d compliant?

No. This is designed for Science Olympiad Div.C Flight event. This event has higher minimum weight limit (8+1.5g), as well as a much smaller "box" constraint on airplane dimensions. Besides, the rule changes every year. And, there are upwards of 7,900 teams in 50 states participate in Science Olympiad. It is more challenging and more fun to fly in. 😀
