Watching your channel, and going through your Moving Abroad program, have been really helpful in focusing my attention on financial planning. This is NOT my strong suit, but it's incredibly important. I'm glad for the push in the right direction.

I will have to work in retirement if I stay in my house. I will only have SS because of life circumstances. At 61 there is no way to save enough in the next few years to make a difference... and I need to retire sooner rather than later because I am tired of working. If I sell my house, I could move elsewhere. I had a 401k and cashed it in to pay off my house. Now I am starting over completely with 401k, Roth and Savings. Won't be much!!

Moving Abroad is a great option.

In my 20's I began working for a large US company. I signed up for the 401K as the company match made it a wise decision. A coworker discussed with me and said put in 6% and let it grow. So that's what I did. Feels great to retire early like I did and moved to Portugal. Feels amazing....JP Porto
