With that top 3, I really could see it going any which way. At this stage, fan support had started to matter, so I actually think either Violet or Trixie probably would have won over Ginger (considering Ginger's edit). It does make me wonder though, had Trixie not got the robbed queen edit, would she have bounced back so strongly and become basically the most popular drag queen in the world next to Rupaul herself?

Regarding Episode 5, I have this faint memory of an interview with Pearl where she talked about the challenge. Max barely got anything together and Pearl wrote a lot of it quite last minute when she came back (that's why she's the one saying most of it). I could remember it wrong but it would make more sense to me. Pearl showed time and time again that she's funnier than people give her credit for, while Max hasn't been standing out for her comedy ever since.

What I love most about those unrigged videos is the surprise of who shockingly does well when it’s not rigged. Like with Mayhem on the season 10 unrigged (the actual winner of every season of drag race) and Scarlet on the season 11 unrigged. You and I are both not crazy Trixie stans, but I can totally see how Trixie makes the finale. And the fact that she does that with a better track record than Violet just f*cking eats😂

Not gonna lie I feel like since Pearl isn't getting the favouritism I don't think her and Trixie would win the conjoined twins. I mean they literally said that one (Trixie) looked way better than the other. So just for that, based on the looks and who was in the top I think the win would go to Violet and Max. So in that scenario Max would come back into the competition, more likely than not be in the top for the John Waters challenge and then get eliminated by Ginger in the dance challenge. I think Kandy and Violet would land in the bottom in that scenario and Violet is surprisingly not a bad lip syncer so I think Kandy would go home in that episode and Violet would still make top3.

I Must say, given the season was comedy challenge heavy, most of those were actually good and funny and most importantly based on a unique concept that has not even been saturated. The theatre was a mess but an iconic one, the awards were funny, the Ru Song parodies were fine, the Ginsberg challenge a cool concept, the John waters challenge innovative and snatch game is a given. And even though there were more fashion queens, for the most part even they did exceptionally well. I love season 7 and don’t understand the hate.

2:00 First unrigging would be to call it a proper Ball. Because this was basically a full on Ball Challenge. They had two looks from home and one look they made in the workroom. This would also mean - they should have given us more screentime of girls actually making the looks and giving us their thought process as well. 9:10 Well i would change THE episode. It was not well written, production did not feel polished. RuPaul was mad af. Everything was wrong. I would rather have them scrap this and rewrite it with a better material. Lipsync song and runway category were a serve though. 17:40 I think this would still change some things. Because Pearl isn't as funny as Trixie can be with prewritten comedy acting challenges. She would probably elevate the team a little. 18:00 This is also a one that I would strongly disagree. I still think Katya and even Max actually brought really good elements to the challenge - and I think that ultimately Katya playing Merle in the Merle Challenge deserved the win. 18:50 With RuPaul I think all the girls missed the point of the challenge - that each story was told by different person. They just did cheap RuPaul. Where instead they should have gone the same route as Katya, Ginger and Max went - where its different type of RuPaul every time. A nice respected but oblivious lady with Merle, BFF party animal with Michelle and a perfection that is full on evil with RuPaul's version (RuPaul when she portrays the persona of RuPaul for skits - often goes for that evil judge that only accept herself as the sole pinnacle of drag). 23:15 I think looking at what Trixie has showed on AS3 with how well she can construct stuff and sell it - and the fact that Pearl still had editorial eye to stuff. I think very much they would still win this. If anything the idea maybe even would be funnier and more original. And I get that this isn't AS3 Trixie. But you know - there was already a seed there. 24:40 I do wonder if unrigging wouldn't also include them being assigned even more fair pairings. Because you know they could have matched people more well when it comes to heights. 30:15 Violet killed the finale, so she probably would still win. But with Tracy there - I could see them crown the secondary fan fave. Especially as she probably would fit in the middle of young vs old, due to her good relations with Ginger at the end of the show. Showing a middle part to the season drama. She probably would also be the fan fave aside Katya there, especially as we would get more screen time and more opportunity to have that Katya and Trixie dynamic on camera. I do think that story dynamics and how queens behaved or what they portrayed couldn't be unrigged. Surely their ideas could have been presented more properly and moments edited less. But ultimately the dismissal of younger queens would still cost Ginger the crown. As in my opinion the finale also should count into the scores and Violet again - won that.

If this was the season we got so many things would've changed. Pearl would be on good terms since THAT moment didn't happen and might even have a redemption edit and comd back on All Stars Kandy Ho might be edited into a villain that sends all the weak performers home and stays in the competition having the worst track record and also making herstory with being in the bottom the most Trixie's relationships with Pearl and Max would be given more attention so those 2 eliminations could hurt more and editing Trixie in kinda the good girl of the season and still be successful later on.

I think actually with track records in your eyes you should also take points away from being low or in the bottom. -1 for being in the bottom two, -.5 for being low, +.5 for being high, +1 for being the top. Ginger 3 points, Trixie 2.5 points, Violet 2 points. This actually shows even more than Violet just wasn’t a comedy queen full of a bunch of different comedy challenges. It’s kind of wild that she won the season IRL.

I disagree about the conjoined twins challenge. Maybe Kandy's look would have been the same as what Miss Fame did, but Trixie's would no doubt have been different, if anything because Trixie and Pearl would have been painted in Trixie's mug rather than Pearl's, which especially at this point in the franchise I think would have played terribly against her. In my opinion that would have pushed the two of them out of the win, maybe switch the low placement with Kennedy, though no way to the bottom, with Katya taking the win instead and Mrs. Kasha Davis reentering the competition. I'm not really here to rewrite the rest of the video, so I'm gonna leave it at that, except, if Mrs. Kasha Davis somehow miraculously sent Kandy home afterwards that could have been peak storyline lmao

Ginger was in the top _four times_ though, outside of the wins, and Violet not one single time. And she did have two low placements. I don't think you can add those up in any way to make Violet win via track record. There may be other arguments for her to win (like the fanbase not liking Ginger, because they never like the big queens), but going by track record, Ginger definitely wins.

But even in this current season, actual drag queens are commenting on how dumb it is to assign weights to these placements and that the wins are most important, along with bottom placements. Of course high placements matter, they tell you that you are doing well in the competition - by what weird judging methode would that be irrelevant? Couting only tops and bottoms is strange to me, and I think paints an inaccurate picture. Do you really think that for example Bianca Del Rio's iconic Judge Judy snatch game should count for literally nothing, just because BenDeLaCreme was there and happened to be a tiny bit better? Phi Phi O'hara had a low placement for her terrible Lady Gaga Snatchgame in season four, and you think that is basically equivalent to Bianca's? I wouldn't say that. And I think Ginger, somebody who was high or in the top 7 times, for literally the majority of the season, did a better job in the competition than Violet, who only did well on 3 episodes and was mediocre to bad the rest of the time.

As I was referring to queens like Bianca, many people including myself feel more that if you don’t have the win / end up in the bottom 2, assigning points to the middle placements doesn’t matter. At the finale, yes their their performance throughout the competition matters in regard to notable performances, like Bianca’s safe but great snatch game. But Violet had momentum at the end of the season despite fading in the middle. She ended with 3 wins 0 bottoms. Ginger ended with 3 wins 2 bottoms, so that weighs as lower lows than Violet had in my opinion.

I love that none of violets wins are rigged, like she had no production favouritism, she got what she deserved and she won on her own shoes with no help from production. Of course, I disagree with anyone that says violet didn't deserve to win, doesn't win, is not a good winner. I disagree with ginger winning the finale.....for one reason only, as much as ginger had a ...slightly better track record, violet had iconic moments gagworthy for. Also the finale performance has to count for it and in that case....girl....violet and her performance and her finale lool is the saving grace of the finale.

Something can be fair and take account into fan reception to the three finalist etc. After all let's say, someone wins the important challenges like snatch game, balls, singing, girl groups and then has the exact same amount of wins as someone who won the 1115th comedy challenges in 4 different variations. And somehow that the other queen had one more high placement...bam she is the winner, even though she has not had gag worthy moments like snatch game or ball or just in general and has had lukewarm reception. There is a difference between fairness and just a robotic simulation. Also....in this very cut and dry format.....something external, like idk....sexual allegations won't matter and won't deny a winner huh. See my point? Just like how anyoneeeeeeeeeeee with a sane mind would make exception for sherry pie or Sharon needles if it came out at the time, to not crown them even though they might have good track records......people do that with other things. Anyways...it's drag, it's gay people, not straight nerdy techs at silicone valley. Medicority and blandness won't make you a winner, so many queens won based on their star power and their love and their fierceness that can't be computed in a format. And also....all this to say is that violet had nearly the same track record as ginger and had less highs anddddd no bottoms. So something like a finale performance and other external reasons...are very well fine to decide a winner.

Please, max did nothing post show with all the fans and fame she was giving, the judges didn't have anything to do with that. Trixie was torn down by the judges yet she still managed to be one of the most successful queens out there

@@AlfredoV90 You seem to be intentionally ignoring the effect the edit and its resulting fan reception has on a queen’s future. Trixie may have flopped on S7, but she left the show a fan favorite. On the other hand, the show absolutely assassinated Max’s character - even ignoring them editing Max’s singing on the main stage out of context, she was consistently painted as a stuck-up prude who was putting on a fake character, not to mention Trixie was among the queens actively calling her out as the season aired. After S7, Trixie was loved by everyone while Max was fake at best and mentally unstable and attention seeking at worst - good luck trying to argue how they had an even playing field to capitalize on after the show.

Violet herself has said she thinks Ginger was supposed to win but when production saw fans didn't like her because of the Bitter Old Lady Brigade thing, they gave the crown to Violet.

For Glamazonian Airways, Ginger revealed that she originally had another outfit that matched the category however when she was putting in on the zipper split just as the PA called 5 minutes to the runway. Kennedy was quick to help her and they knew they wouldn’t be able to fix the gown in time. So Ginger told Kennedy to run and grab something pretty from her rack and she would defend it on the runway. Kennedy grabbed the cocktail dress. As for why Ginger didn't mention this on the main stage or in Untucked, I'm guessing she was trying to be professional and commit to the outfit or it would have been like asking the judges to give her a pass and overlook her runway since it was an emergency or that she was blaming Kennedy since she grabbed the outfit and that wouldn't have been fair to her or the other queens. All the same, I adore Ginger but nice to see Kasha get a win!! Also love this new season!! Ginger wins, Trixie makes the Top 3 and Violet still slays!! Love it all!! 💅👑

She might’ve said it and it just wasn’t shown in the episode cause it wasn’t relevant. We only really see a minor portion of the deliberations, it’s like a two hour dialogue for the queens in the moment (with lunch break in between I believe).

@@handsoaphandsoap exactly and I'm surprised they didn't air the moment like they did with Adore in episode 1 of Season 6. Seeing Ginger panic and Kennedy trying to help her like WTF do we do?! We have like 5 minutes!! It would've been such a great, dramatic TV moment!! I just remember her revealing it in an interview with feastoffun. When people read her for it not matching the category, I just point it out. Point is, she knew it didn't match the category and was going to wear something that did.
