It’s not considered that’s their ethnicity. There no such thing as a colonizer Druze. We’re the only ethnoreligious group to have a legitimate land without colonizing or forcing apartheid amongst indigenous Palestinians. Jbeil al Durzee, the mountains where the Druze settled in Damascus and Mont Liban in Lebanon, and our historic religious sites in Palestine aka the land of Canaan. There’s no such thing as an indigenous colonizer. Please don’t assume our identities when we know we’re all of Canaanites, Phoenicians, Kurds, Arameans, and Arab DNA. Unlike the pagan colonizers, our bloodlines have been pure since the inception of our faith. No Druze can convert in or out, making our genetics preserved since the beginning of the time.

Im from Kiryat Shmona and I have met many Golan Druze, they are all very friendly. I don't believe them when they say they want to go back to Syria. Like all of them are speaking Hebrew and their village has received a lot of services from Israel. They hold onto their Syrian identity for cultural reasons (Druze are extremely nationalists wherever they are). Plus the Golan is majority Jewish.

The Golan was Syrian and is historically Syria. Don’t mix politics with identity. All Syrians and Druze from Golan heights are indigenous to the Levant. We are not part of the colonizers or tied to them in anyway.

Haven't y'all ever considered that these people prefer to live amongst their people, even if it means they will have a lower quality of life.

Valid point. However, they can always move to Syria. They never do though. I think it is because they deep down prefer to live under Israel where their freedom is protected, their rights are respected and they have far more economic potential.

@@amerlad Agreed. But we are not returning the Golan Heights to Syria. So the Druze can accept this and be happy that they now have rights and opportunities that they never had when the Golan Heights was a part of Syria. Or they can stupidly pretend that life was great under Syrian rule and that they want to go back to the "good old days." But I believe that the fact that none of them ever have moved to Syria indicates to me that they realize that life is far better in Israel than Syria. And I note that almost no Druze moved to Syria prior to the civil war when Syria was more stable.

They all speak good Hebrew. :^) If that "third side" in Syria gets control, these Druze will learn *again* to sleep with their guns.

janjan55555 The Golan belongs to Israel. If Syria can take it away from Israel, then it belongs to Syria. That simple. No apologies.
@davestonehill6177

john doulos Wouldn't that be a dream come true. Of course, these so called loyalists to Syria never seem to move to Syria. Instead, they enjoy the wealth and freedom that Israel provides to them while pretending that they want to return to Syrian rule. Why engage in such pretending? Simple...they fear that Israel will be stupid enough to give the Golan back to Syria. If that happens, they want to make sure that Syria believes that they were always hoping for that result (probably necessary to maintain their existance on this planet). This little ruse of theirs is so obvious that it is almost laughable.

What a load of anti Semitic BS. The Druze have been fighting in the IDF since the beginning of the establishment of Israel in 1948. When I lived in Israel I met many Druze. They are nomadic so they don't stay in one place all year round. That flag you show in your video isn't from the Druze. Your lying propaganda may be believed by those who are hateful and anti Semitic but thankfully you don't have a large following.

Germany also conquered and occupied Alsace and Lorraine in France from 1870 to 1918 and annexed those french provinces as GERMANS ..... decades later they had to give it back to the legitimate owner, France. Just wait, Israel, time is working for you too.

After WW2 millions of Germans who've always lived in areas which became part of Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania and Yugoslavia were forced to flee to Germany's new borders. When you start a war an lose it, you suffer the consequences.
