As someone who’s dealt with the system because my girlfriend was killed in a car accident at the hands of a drunk driver who actually was a former cop it sounds like a cover up by the county and that someone had money to pay people off

Lots of different twists to this one. Defiinitely seems like a wrong place at the wrong time situation and a huge cover up. Justice will ultimately be served. No getting around that

First heard about this case years ago on Unsolved Mysteries. Sounded fishy. As time when on the whole drug pipeline flying in & out of Arkansas came out. Whether it was CIA involvement or just local villians, the boys were in the wrong place at the wrong place that night. Such a shame.

I was so struck by the interviews Unsolved Mysteries included. The train engineer, the boys parents. Such a tragic shame & horrifying how corrupt it became

Yep. I watching that episode as a kid, even the reenactment of the train going over their bodies (If I remember correctly-it’s been 30 plus years). The only other thing I remember about that episode is learning about spotlight hunting.
