Yes. Rarely, but it has happened I don’t feel like eating but after seeing him eating I do want some or at least want to taste it. Even though I’m not hungry. Hubby always gets enough for both though.

Been married for 11 years now. As a woman, I learned to say no, if it means no. So most of the time, I answer my husband "I'm not sure. You can cook if you want it and I may like it later." I learned to do it to prevent misunderstanding. :D

I never comment on vlogs but this made me laugh. I agree with Benji. Whenever someone asks if me I want something to eat even if it’s to eat later, I always tell them exactly what I want. If I say no, thank you, which I rarely do, it really means no.

I agree. Women want to be treated as equal and should be walking the walk in all aspects of our lives. I taught my younger sister no means no, don't cry or whine to get your way, and never play the sympathy card. Im working on a new hospital floor where more than 60% of my colleagues are male. And I asked a handful when a woman says no in regards to different scenarios, most agreed when a woman says no its for attention, or there is more to the story its never clear. That was shocking, appalling and disgusting.

I think the food thing is to do with diet culture, not necessarily women playing mind games. They want the food in reality, but they feel they should appear to not eat a lot. Same reason people order salads instead of getting something they really wanted like pasta. I do agree though that relationships would be much easier if everyone communicated better though :)

I disagree with this whole no means yes. As a marriage and family therapist I teach my female clients all the time that it is unfair to expect their husbands to read their minds. You have a voice, use it. Break downs in communication happen due to things such as this.

I learned to tell my husband, “no, but can I have some of yours?” when it comes to food. That way the expectation is clear. Then my husband decides if he wants to share some of his or get me my own 😂

I completely agree. Especially when he asks you straight out of you want some of your own!!! If you say no, don't be mad that your partner goes along with that. He's actually trusting you to make a decision for yourself. I've never seen it as ok to just take food from someone else's plate unless they offer.

I think the whole food thing about asking and them saying no shouldn't be seen necessarily as a test. It should be considered that women, generally speaking, have been taught and told in society that their opinions should always benefit the group and if they have a preference its best to not say anything because it might inconvenience others. So by default some people will say no when they want food because they don't want to inconvenience people or they're not used to their opinions being heard/they're used to being disregarded. But also its a probable love language thing where if we go on a road trip and stop at a gas station and someone asks if I want anything I'll say no out of convenience but I'll be super happy and touched when someone gets me a chocolate bar or a juice because it means they thought of me and are looking out for me. I hope this makes sense.

I’m a female and I don’t like that unspoken rule thing that’s not ok. I don’t expect my husband to read my mind. Or tell him no when I mean yes. For y’all it seems to be ok but there are couples where they end up in serious arguments over things like that. So ladies let your no mean no and your yes means yes.
