Why are the walls to the trap entrance angled that way? They should be in a "V" shape, funneling the animals into the trap. Current design actually causes animals to go to the left or the right of the entrance as they approach the trap.

I said this same thing last episode. I don't understand why they built the entrance so wrong. It's as if they followed a tutorial on how to build a terrible trap. Even the trap that thick made from junk (when he tamed the first uti) worked better than this one.

This trap is terrible for catching animals anyway regardless of the entrance. A far better trap is a box of stone doorframes with ramps leading up it, lure the animal up the ramp and into the box and then run safely through one of the doorframe holes. Only needs one person instead of this "one person sacrifices themselves to lure it while the other tries to shut it in" nonsense.

Watching this series every week is a comforting habit. Btw spamming the jump button while riding the wolf will shoot you forward really fast, it eats stamina but super good at covering ground or running away from something. And to my knowledge rifles are also hitscan, so no need to lead your target or worry about bullet drop, this sadly does not extend to crossbows.

Also, nothing like the first time you're riding a dino and have your first run in with your ride becoming feared by the Yuty! For me, it was a pteradon...it sucked. It happened just seconds after my son randomly started flying away and I was yelling "what are you doing? Where are you going" and he was all "I cant help it". Oh the joy of the misfortunes of Ark that you become aware of the hard way.

I am crying over the fact that they don't seem to comprehend how the water-technique works T-T. They *literally* use it to get away from the aggressive ones, swim further in, to have them turn away and go back onto shore... Then they are so bewildered, why the Yuty is not following *facepalm*. I love these guys to DEATH, but man ... sometimes.... XD. When Dora said he will try to help, I thought he meant shooting it from ACROSS the water and was like "YES! I use this prefab for every tame that fits through a dino gate! 6x stone foundation 1x stone dino gate 31x stone doorways 6x stone hatchframe Make a square out of these mats and leave a one wall sized hole on the backside. Just ride your wolf or whatever you're using to bait right through this hole and have someone close the door behind you. Guaranteed whatever fits will sits!

Back when I played Ark solo I would tame a pack of about three or five carnivores, I'd put the lead one on wander and set the others to follow him, then set them to aggressive. They'd basically work like a neighborhood watch/vigilante group, patrolling the area, and eliminating dangerous dinosaurs. If you make multiple roaming packs like that you can police a pretty big area, and if they're high enough levels they can even kill an alpha by themselves. Best part is aside from occasionally emptying their inventory and leveling them up they are completely autonomous. So you can do your own thing while they run around killing enemies in the background.

a helpful tip: when dinos get on your butt like with lady bug and the badger just reverse. When you try and out turn them with something like a Rex or Rhino it doesn't really work, this might of helped out bobby rainbows as if he reversed he would of been able to hit all of the wolves and pigs in front of him with one swipe. You guys need ramp traps. Make a 3x4 or 4x6 box out of stone windows, 2-3 high Make a ramp leading up to it from the side of approach. On the opposite, make a door. Run up, fall in, let the thing chase you in. Run out door. Profit In a dangerous area, put a Dino gate at the top to keep other things from running the ramp and messing with your tame. Works for everything up to and including Rexes. A larger and metal one is needed for a Giga. You can also make them on rafts (nomadic) and have them portable. In Crystal isles, there is a river through the middle that runs near 50/50 access to almost all kinds of tame there. Got most of my tames with a raft trap. Also a majorly huge metal field on the southern shore.

The Utties scare your animals, not poison them, and those alpha carnos are just carnos being boosted by Uttie, they always round up a couple and run around with them. Just keep your distance, kill the carnos and expect to have to chase the Uttie and defend it when it falls. Edit, ok yeah that one might be an alpha carno lol, lucky day!

I know the perfect tame for Simon, The Megatherium (giant sloth). This dino aggros nothing (unless you attack it). Its pretty strong, fast and farms chitan like crazy. Plus it gets buffed when it kills a bug.
