He showed up on stage with Bowling for Soup at a music festival in Vegas a few years ago and did the Doofenshmirtz voice. Top tier moment.

Robert Alvarez is another unsung hero. He never had a big show, but he directed so much shows, including Genndy T. and C. McKracken's shows' and many Disney Afternoon shows.

Dan Povenmire Was a Long Resume Like I have long history with Television going back to Cops all the way to Stoned Quackers I'm Old Man just old also still proud that Squidbillies last 2 Decades did not expect that to last as long as Adult Swim kept It being a lesser regarded cartoon compared to Aqua Teen Hunger Force

Heyo, I'm an animator currently working in the industry - To answer your question, it's way more common for artists and directors to move around to a bunch of different projects and studios than it is to stay at one place, especially in the last couple years with studios closing and strikes and shows being cancelled all over the place. At the same time, doing really well on a show doesn't guarantee future work, outside of giving you stuff for your reel/resume. We really have to put a lot of effort into finding work and there are sometimes big unpaid gaps between projects even when staying at the same studio. Just goes to show how talented Dan is to be able to have such a lengthy career, as you said.

I thought I had outgrown fart noises when I turned 30 but watching you pull out that Patrick joke killed me 😅
@NottJoeyOfficial9 күн бұрын
Fart jokes have a bell curve. As a kid they're the funniest thing ever. Then you become a teen and think "I am above this childish humor now" and don't find them funny. Then you become an adult and realize, yep, they're actually really funny.

@chon.digital personally I prefer bluesky for quick thoughts, jokes or conversations (and not run by an evil billionaire) but if you're there to post videos, then ig is obv better for that

That's not the entire truth about when Dan worked for Family Guy. On animated shows, episode directors are in charge of the board artists, timing of the animation, and basically making sure the epsidoe gets done. He sometimes added jokes. The director will often give notes to the storyboard artists and maybe make some storyboards himself. A voice director is a completely different job.
