I genuinely think that too. Like some of these scenes amazed me at how they dodged the sensorship. Perfect examples would be when Wei Ying asked his senior sister why ppl like others(romantically). Now this scene can be taken two ways, he is either asking her indirectly why she likes Jin the peacock or abt his own crush on lan zhan(which we all know is the right one). And bc it's placed right after a scene abt her having feeling for Jin the peacock, it passes. Lmao wild. Also the soul mate/confidant part. That word has so many meanings on purpose lol. It's meant to confuse.
