If anyone wants to know what love is. Love is when Lan Wangji suffered 33 whips and 3 years of punishment for Wei Ying. (Need I remind you that they were discipline whips, one whose scar would remain forever) Love is when even though the world was against Wei Ying, only Lan Zhan stood by his side. Love is when the most righteous and disciplined role model Lan Zhan broke the 3000 rules of Lan Clan without any hesitation for Wei Ying. Love is when he made a song for Wei Ying and named it "Wangxian" Love is when he branded himself with Wen Clan's sun symbol just because Wei Ying had the same mark in his body. Love is when Lan Zhan played inquiry aimlessly for years just trying to find a piece of Wei Ying's soul to know if he is fine. I watched this series two weeks ago and since then I couldn't even watch another series. tbh this is the very first historical drama that I've ever seen, and maybe that's why it left so much impression on me. reading the comment section here and on the another video related to this series, I think it's safe to say that 'the untamed' will be another 'harry potter'. maybe the series has ended a long time ago, but time after time the fandom will keep alive and bigger until God-knows-when, the memories remains forever. and for me, xiao zhan will always be wei wuxian, wang yibo will always be lan wangji, xuan lu will always be shijie, wang zhuo cheng will always be jiang cheng, yubin will always be wen ning, meng ziyi will always be wen qing, etc. ❤

Most “popular” dramas generally have you bored at certain episodes, have a happy ending, and people usually are hyped at the first few episodes then it ends. And not to mention, they don’t give you the nostalgia whenever you rewatch it. This drama, keeps me entertained every episode and hyped. The ending is absolutely beautiful, as it depends on how the person watching it interprets it. Either Lan Zhan came back, or it was WuXian’s own mind. But nevertheless, I get the sense of nostalgia every time I watch it, and a sense of hiraeth. I love this drama so much, it will always have a place in my heart

Actually Lan Zhan and Wei ying met indeed. And this is bc the dress Wei Ying wore at the end was the same as the dress he wore in the scenes where he met Nie Huisang, which depicts that they continued to travel together and the rest of the story continued as in the novel

I don't think it was his mind. When he turns around it's clear by the way his smile was given. He used to smile to Lan Zhan that way. He definitely sees somebody. I just think the show should've worked on making it clearer despite the censorship. Lan Zhan is not the type of person that would walk a different path from his beloved one. He didn't looked for him for 16 years to find him and let him go. There many hints they stay together, buy it depends on everyone's perspective.

The casting directors of The Untamed seriously did a superb job finding two talented lead actors who also had outstanding chemistry together on screen. I watched the drama and now I'm obsessed with everything related to the drama. I have read the novel, I keep watching Wang Yibo and Xian Zhao's videos,even the crack videos. This is one of the best dramas of this decade and no one can make me think otherwise. I have seen many dramas where the leads keep doing explicit stuff but I never felt any chemistry between them as I felt between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying who haven't even had even one kiss. Kudos to Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo for making the characters alive and memorable and someone special to my heart. Everything about this drama from the actors, their acting, their way of expressing the emotions, the songs, the aesthetical backgrounds, everything was perfect. I wish Wang Yibo and Xhao Zhan do another drama together. Their chemistry is no joke

Something I wrote about Wei Ying.. A man with a good moral, a clear mind, who always had a strong beleif in himself and speaks the truth of true reality.. He always sympathised with the poors and the weaks.. He made a promise " I wish I can eliminate the evil and help the weak, always stand with justice and live with no regrets ... " And he didn't moved from his words because his heart was determined.. He never cared about the gossip.. He lost everything his parents, sister and even his power.. Why?? because he helped others.. He was thrown alive in a burial mountain to die.. But he was not afraid of death and survived.. He choosed the so called "wrong path" to keep the promise he made... And kept on helping beyond death.. Helped those who were innocent but we're though as evil.. Which made him a devil for everyone... Such a devil where his own brother killed him to whom he had given all his powers.. "People always need a target, a target which everyone hates.. With me they can Unite together and think highly of themselves " And Everyone wished him to die and blamed him for his parents death and told him he was wrong and he is evil.. "Suddenly, he felt that the world had no place for him, despite how large it was." At the end he killed himself.. His world has shattered with nothing to live.. All this for what??? Because he sympathised with the weak and did what's right.. Before he died he asked the person who loved him the most.. "How can u tell Who is right Who is wrong What is Black What is White" Throughout his life he had a clear conscience and beleifed.. One can choose to be good or bad. But it depends upon others to praise him or condemn him.. I don't care my gain and looses I know what I should do Let the self judge the right and the wrongs, let others decide to praise or to blame and let the losses and gains remain uncommented on.”, It's heartbreaking that the truth he speaks only few people has the ears to listen.. It says soo much about the right and the wrong..the good and the evil..that reflects the real world.. his life tell soo much about how the world works and how u view it.. "While his life was full of darkness Where everyone hates him to death And no hope to survive Luckily he had someone, who loved him more than anything.. Who was ready to kill anyone and go against the world for him." Will be Writing about Lan Zhan too.. If people like this one.. ☺☺

I rather like that scene where he lets himself fall from the cliff, it's really heartbreaking, but while watching it you can feel the overwhelming despair and hopelessness and that outcome feels like it's only natural. I don't dislike how, in the novel, the author dragged that out because, reasons; but I really liked what they did with it in the drama.

(Yes guys I’ve read the novel lol maybe a while ago but I still remember the important stuff) The reason why I really like the story is there’s no real antagonist.. all characters were pushed to make decisions (good or bad) and they didn’t have a choice other than becoming who they are.. which is exactly what real life is.. most of the time we are left alone in these interactions where you can’t tell which way is better/more justifiable

Uk I am a big literature geek. Can fairly said have read more than thousand novels. But there are few novels that just imprints on yr heart. After HP series, mdzs is the most beautiful thing I've read. It's just the plot, the character development, the relationship between families, strong characterization on side charcters, the slow burn, the reality of human world and of course the undying love of lan zhan and wy is just sooo heartwarming and a masterpiece indeed.

The top three people who truly loved and believed in Wei ying were Shijie, Lan Zhan, and Wen Ning. It was said by Wei Ying and the author of the novel. Ps. this is according to the drama and the author of MDZS. The comments below are adding other characters which is pretty okay but what I said is a fact that's said in the drama. It's the top 3 people, guys.

In my view, Shijie and Wen Ning were the only two people who never doubted Wei Ying ‘s intentions. These two always believed in him. There’s also mianmian, our sweetest strong girl who stood for Wei Ying in the middle of all the big names without the slightest bit of fear. She too believed Wei Ying and stood for him despite all against him. In the second rank come both Lan Zhan and Wen Qing because these two ever since they realised the true virtue of Wei Ying they never doubted him however both in the start were unsure because it’s true that Wei Ying is one of a kind, Wen Qing some how knew early that Wei Ying is a wonderful soul and i believe it was after he gave his golden core to Jiang Chen and never doubted him after that, not even a single bit and later on she went to sacrifice herself and her own clan just for the his sake and Lan Zhan realised it little by little on his own after Wei Ying became the Yiling Patriarch and things started happening.
