I like to think that when Razorclaw was resurrected, they used what knowledge they had of Vok technology, giving him a dark version of Tigerhawks body, using the Razorclaw toy from Universe

While not a big fan of Beast Machines, we do get some more background in that show. We learned that Cybertron underwent the Great Upgrade, during which the surface of the planet was built over and the Decepticons were replaced by Predacons and the Autobots by the Maximals.

Pax cybertronia was the downsizing of transformers for fuel conservation. Predaking refused to downsize and went on a rampage on Cybertron. Maximals finally defeated them and disgruntled decepticons renamed themselves predacon

As someone who likes Beast Machines, it's a bummer to imagine a chain of events where that upbeat and unified ending is followed up by long-dead Razorclaw coming back to start the old war all over again, heheheh!

To my mind the biggest and most obvious screw up with the whole "travel back to kill Prime and have the Decepticons win is they would see no reason to downsize/evolve into the Predacons. Therefore the new Megatron will be wiping himself out of existence. Simple logic. Therefore if it is possible to alter the past, they are in a different time line. You cannont alter your own past in a major way because if you could, you already would have.

This video is only about the G1 universe that Beast Wars is a sequel to (aka mostly G1 cartoon but elements taken from the marvel comic). The only part that is IDW in here is the Magmatron part and is from a miniseries they did that was canon to the TV series.

I suspect Unicron, since Megatron referred to Tarantulas as "Unicron spawn" in the episode Nemesis Part 1, and in response to Tigerhawk saying that the time-storm from destroying The Ark would wipe them all out, Tarantulas said, "Only those descended from Autobot and Decepticon, but I and the Tripredacus Council have different origin."
