It is clear something happened on the plane between him and his Son, the Son in an interview appears to have not forgiven Brad yet. It appears Angelina is not out to hurt Brad, she appears to want to protect the children. All of them are at an age to make their own choice about what they want. People with addictions don't just get over it after a rehab stint. He will probably go back and forth for awhile like most do. Brad has admitted to substance abuse maybe this was just the last straw. This depends A LOT about what's there to forgive. Would you forgive a rapist? Your rapist. Or your child rapist. Replace "rapist" with "abuser". Women who are working at their job and they are working at home, but they need to kindly ask their husbands for money to buy food for the family while he is spending to have fun with their friends and other women, while they stole family money to save them in - let's say - hid mothers' bank account. I always find it telling when older children do not want to restore their relationship with a parent. As is the case here. The 3 older kids, the ones who are old enough to be asked by the court whether they want to see their father and spend time with him, don’t want to. He got joint custody of the younger ones. I think think they witnessed and remember behavior on his part they aren’t ready to forgive yet, if ever.

Here’s what I think happened on the plane. And I was a nanny for five years & worked in many daycares for 13. I’ve heard stories of angies kids basically being spoiled, undisciplined brats. I heard they’re disrespectful & Angie always allows it. Whenever I encountered an undisciplined child, I always got yelled at by there mothers. But the kid was always at fault. One evil little boy that always terrorized the kids purposely threw a wooden toy block at the back of a special needs kids head; which caused it to open up. My boss demanded she take her kids & never come back, and the mother screamed at her. She didn’t even care what her kid did. Meanwhile, I’m holding that toddler in my arms; both of us crying & holding his wound down so he didn’t bleed out until the ambulance got there. And that kids mom went on to try & sabotage my work place and even filed a case against us. Little did she remember that we had security cameras in the room. Her husband didn’t want this to happen & even tried talking her out of it. He even testified against her. It was nuts. It ended with her being arrested for child endangerment because of what she allowed her kid to do (the special needs boy’s parents filed against her) & the dad won full custody. Last I heard, the boy & his little brother are much better behaved. Maddox to me always came off of as the type of Hollywood kid to say “you can’t punish me, you know who my mom is?!” Brad and Angie clearly have different styles of parenting. And Maddox clearly got in Brads face on the plane. But because of the rumors about Angies kids, I don’t believe for one second that Brad purposely put his hands on an adult like Maddox. I think Angie was looking for a way out & used this incident to get away. For someone who’s always so “I love my kids” she’s doing a bang up job using them. You can always tell who the better parent is by how they react in court. Brads fighting FOR the kids, while Angies using the kids to fight Brad. One sees them as people, the other sees them as a weapon.

Welcome to the real world.nothing is perfect, we've dealt with unfaithful men issues, but it's commendable that he wants a relationship with his kids, and does nothing to influence them against her. All I got during my breakup was the father who had drinking issues, to tell the child, it was your mother's fault a slap from the father, him never wanting a relationship with my boy, how sad for the children of father's who don't see or aknowledge them. I have been a father and a mother for my boy, who's now 26, his father walked out when he was 5. That's enough for me, and I have never blamed her for being the other woman, which I had that too. She needs to see beyond herself and do what's right for those kids, not use them against him.

For someone who's had such a rocky relationship with her own father, you'd think she'd want better for her own kids. I'm sure Brad Pitt wasn't/isn't a perfect parent, but neither is she. No one is. He stopped drinking as soon as this all happened. It appears he is genuinely remorseful for any wrongdoings, has made huge life style changes, and adores his kids. No child should ever be deprived of a loving parent because the other parent wants to "win" at the kids' expense and detriment. They will be scarred for life. He went thru visitation with social workers, the whole nine yards. So, while I admire Angelina for many things especially her humanitarian efforts, I just think as it as been proven in the mental health industry that it is definitely not in the best interest to keep all visitation away from the children and let the father be an integral part of their lives. I can also speak first hand as an adult now who was a child when my parents divorced, and even though my dad had his issues I never didn’t want to see him or be a part of his life and him in mine. In fact the worse part was feeling like my dad who lived by himself missed us. We (my brother and I) felt bad. So one silver lining was even though my parents couldn’t be together anymore, my mom always let us go with our dad as much as we wanted. So I hope you now understand my deep dark mind now much better.

Divorce is a MUST if your parent is abusive alcoholic. No judge will grant full custody to the mother or prolong this battle for so long if there was no proof! If there had been real love among them, the mom and older kids would have supported him during his rehabilitation. My best example is Ben A. & J. Garner. They did great! No love? No forgiveness. "Get out of the house and pay $, I won't work for a while." They could have been divorced long time ago and things wouldn't have been so hard for the siblings. Three of them already had biological family issues, but mom just thought of revenge and get rid of him for her personal reasons. May God help them all.

I don't understand why everyone is picking on Angelina. In my opinion, Brad is the one at fault here. He was MARRIED when he met Angelina who was SINGLE at the time. If he was truly happily married to Jennifer Aniston no one, I repeat no one wld hv made him stray. He WILLINGLY took up with Angelina who I repeat, was SINGLE at the time. So the emphasis wld be on Brad to NOT be unfaithful. The fact that he was unfaithful shows that he does not hv a great character to begin with. He was also drunk n disruptive on the plane. Angelina wants only the best for her children n if she feels that Brad is being a bad influence on the children, then Brad SHOULD not hv joint custody.
