बीनाराय (कृष्णा सरीन) के पिता रेल्वे मे बहुत ऊंची पोस्ट पर थे। इनके पति प्रेमनाथ थे जो कि फिल्म अभिनेता राजकपूर के साले थे। बीना राय की सगी बडी बहन की शादी चितरंजन लोकोमोटिव वर्क (बिहार) के जनरल मैनेजर के साथ हुआ था जो कि सर लक्ष्मीपत मिश्रा के पुत्र थे जो कि बिरला जी की कम्पनी हिन्दुस्तान मोटर्स, ( जिला - हुगली, वेस्ट बंगाल ) के आजन्म जनरल मैनेजर थे। उनकी मृत्यु के पश्चात "घनश्याम दास बिरला" ने भी उनकी अर्थी को कंधा दिया था ।
