Just played again today, so glad I picked wyvern as my talent and spent one of the first two heart seals to go into it, pretty much everybody sucks.

@@ZeldaZoura I mean, the game gives you Hayato, Jakob, and Kaze very early on in Rev, and then Reina in c11 and Camilla in c13. You're far from out of good units to start with, and that's even more true with path bonuses, where Dark Falcon Sakura exists as a crazy strong earlygame unit.

⁠@@ZeldaZouraCamilla, Reina, Takumi, Kaze, Felicia/Jakob, Azura, Reina, and Hayato are all given early on with time to train or are just really good out the gate. Rinkah also isn’t the worst unit and only needs a few levels in the early game to get going. Kagero is also given at a decent time with her bases and can be used in the next chapter to then gain some levels with a much better strength than the other ninjas.

I did a similar maneuver as you did with Ophelia with my Odin on my recent Hard run, though without Lunge so I had to have someone else bait the staves while Odin Nos-tanked the enemies. I didn't have Ophelia yet so I couldn't just completely own the right side just with that set-up, but it was still hilarious watching an unfairly low-tiered unit like Odin just devour the "hard" side of the map basically on his own.

Yeah, Odin's Nos-tanking has always given him unique roles he can fulfill, even without Zoran's crazy optimization. It makes Odin extremely useful in chapters 10-13 (plus a handful of others, as we see).

Man this is so cool to see. I usually don't bother with vantage because it's always just so overkill, but it's nice to see that other people are able to do it to make it work. I fuckin hate using E swords looking ass samurai odin but I gotta respect it.

That was a clean Odin and Elise maneuver! And also thanks in regards to the internal level mechanic I assume the internal level is calculated off of the lowest level available. I realized a while ago that a lunging nostank could get in range of the adventurers to prevent status so I always have to get ophelia here now 😅

You honestly cannot go wrong with either of them, though with the lack of resources you get, I go spare. Niles will most likely need the bow later on, and the staff can go to either Jakob/Felicia or Elise

Keen to see that your wyvern Elise portrait is available! Just one question tho, is it compatible with the Witch Nyx mod? Since in my "face" folder in "romfs" I already have a "FaceData.bin.lz" from the witch Nyx mod. I'm unsure whether that's sufficient or if I need to replace it or do some weird stuff with Paragon

Witch Nyx mod includes a way to merge into another already-installed mod, but I’ve updated my own mod to do the same. There's now a json file that you can import into Paragon; I’ve put directions in the readme. Hope that helps!

I think he said that because Ophelia has access to Vantage through inheritance, and only needs to use a master seal (or use the free offspring seal if you doing her paralogue after Chapter 18) to start Nosferatu tanking. Leo doesn't have access to Vantage from the start and won't get it unless he A+ supports Odin or S supports Female Corrin(which will take a while if you're not grinding with DLC, plus Odin would rather be paired up with Elise and/or learning Vantage himself) and has to use a friendship seal. And he can't use Nosferatu unless he heart seals to Sorcerer.
