Ford’s new 350-horsepower 7.3L engine is narrower than the previous 6.8L, allowing more room for service work. Innovations for the fuel system, known as Gen 5, include stronger and lighter forged fuel rails and unique routing that keeps the engine-fuel distribution well organized. The system benefits from all of Ford’s performance and quality characteristics, such as horsepower, torque and towing, while maintaining the OEM factory warranty.
In addition to engine updates, the new propane and gasoline Vision incorporates newly-engineered center routing, which allows much of the wiring and fuel lines to be housed between brackets in the frame rails for added protection and product longevity. A newly-designed grill also brings a fresh face to a familiar brand.

Of all the things you could have focused on with this redesign, you choose the grille. How about updating the windshield to make it larger, single piece, with overlapping wipers for better visibility? How about coating the step well with Rhino liner (like your competitors do) so it doesn't rust out? How about painting the hoods with paint that won't peel after just 4 years?

I like the new grille design. Will this allow more airflow for the radiator (and intercooler for the diesel models) than the previous design? I like how you guys went from the 6.8 V10 to the new 7.3 "Godzilla" V8.

Throwing on a new grille and plastic around the warning lights is hardly an update. What about a larger door (like the All American), a larger windshield (with no center post) and a larger drivers window? These "Vision" buses have so many blind spots and a style that hasn't changed since the 80's. Come on BlueBird, get with the times.

The V10 made 362HP until around 2014, when they had to detune the engine to meet emissions standards. So the newer V10 made 320HP, which made it less powerful than the 7.3 GODZILLA. The 7.3 makes 468 ft lbs of torque and the V10 made 460 ft lbs. I guess a huge difference would be what RPM each engine makes their HP at.

My district has about 8 Visions, 2 of which are gas and the rest are diesel. I'm hoping we can upgrade soon. Beautiful buses, nice smooth ride.

Not for the 7.3, but yes, they are still offering the 6.7 Cummins, and I think the 5.0 Cummins, don't quote me on that

@@uAKING2006 It is not offered with the 5.0 Cummins. I'm pretty sure Cummins is still locked in an exclusivity contract with Nissan over that engine and can't use it for anything else.

@@uAKING2006 The 5.0 Cummins isn’t a medium duty engine. That was specifically produced for the Nissan Titan. The 6.7L ISB is a medium duty engine. Just not the ones in the dodge rams

I always wonder: When is it a good time for a major redesign on a school bus? Vision had it's last major update for the 2007 model year I'm pretty sure. All American had it's last one for the 2013 model year. HDX had it's last one for the 2001 model year. EFX came out for the 2013 model year. C2 had it's last one for the 2004/2005 model year. IC CE had it's last one for the 2005 model year. IC RE had it's last one for the 2005 model year, but the overall look and body structure hasn't really changed since 1996. What's your opinion? Also I think this new Vision looks awesome! Keep it up!

I think Bluebird should stop putting in the Cummins ISB for the diesel and use the 6.7 PowerStroke for the diesel Vision, I'm saying that because the gasoline and propane are Ford, the diesel should be Ford too
