Note the two Finns taken by Innova Discs. Eetu Tuominen, who was 2nd in DGPT Copenhagen, 21st in EO, 17th in USDGC (first time in the US); and Iida Lehtomäki, who won one DGPT Silver (Baltic Disc Golf Championship), few Prodigy Disc Pro Tour (national tour in Finland) events and was 33rd in Throw Pink (first time in the US). Eetu was 17 years old; Iida played still as in F15 and as amateur (having to decline the winning money in order to keep the amateur status) because of wanting to participate in Finish Amateur National Championship, which she happened to win in September 2024. After that she switched into pro. Her last round in Throw Pink was rated 1003.

Not sure why people are surprised about Simon leaving Grip bags. Not so long after he signed on with MVP he literally said in a video that he was still sponsored by Grip "for now." Simon had been telegraphing since his MVP signing that his time with a Grip bag was finite, and MVP makes bags.

IMO, innova left a ton of discmania related money on the table when they got back the disc mania molds and unceremoniously released them under names that like the “dark rebel”. They could’ve made a huge deal about getting them back and just tweaked the names a little and I feel like it would’ve been more successful.

How is your favorite disc not a putter? I practice with a putter 100 times more than a mid, fairway, or DD. Value the short game.

With the longer flight it’s easier to appreciate all the special things it can do. One expects a putter to go 20,30,55 feet a certain way. And even with throwing putters….

@ you’re chasing waterfalls. The putter gets you a score. I’m not trying to bury anybody loving the beautiful flight of a disc. I’m all about grinding with a stack of 27 zero soft Pures going into a Veteran 1000 times per night from 18 feet. You can get your self into some really dialed in shit.

The Magnus Carlson drama had nothing to do with the jeans. He is starting a "competing" chess league and is it's getting heated between he and FIDE. Nothing to do with the Jeans. He actually finished the event, and agreed to a tie for first instead of continuing to play the tiebreaker for the blitz world title. He's just trying to devalue the big FIDE titles.
