The lecture by Ms Abigail was an important opportunity to learn about the practical aspects of lost-wax casting, especially its role in experimental archaeology projects. The lecture also suggested new ways of thinking about the usefulness and difficulties of using the lost-wax technique. Many thanks to Ms Abigail for delivering this lecture to us.

This was an interesting case study of lost wax technique being made to use weapons instead of jewellery or decorative materials which it is usually used for. Ms. Abigail researched on how the fine decorative motifs on the dagger could've been through lost-wax technique only - I am curious to see whether we can apply this method to revist how objects were made in Indian archaeology, such as the carnelian beads and seals of the Harappan.
