@@RockinTabsthe way you play it seems legit, I’m not sure how the band does it - I tried your way the other day but I was playing it on the wrong frets XD. The way I learned it was playing little variations of the Cad9, Dad9 and Ead9(?) chords followed by a few strums at the high e and b strings on the third fret on that tail end part… which I also think sounds right - but I’m always interested to learn new ways of playing songs I like

No, not palm muting at all. Just have the "attack" turned down on the amp settings
