I feel like One Directioners and Vaccines fans should be good buddies. Even Justin from The Vaccines was helping 1D write some songs... Sooooo yeah. But The Vaccines did a bomb diggity job on this cover. It's so 80s and I love the way Justin looks when he sings with his karaoke type mannerisms. It's great. They're great (especially live).

I actually enjoyed it! It's of course different, but different isn't always bad. I think the lead vocals were great and I don't think the volume has to be turned up. In my opinion it's a great cover and I never heard of the band before, so I will definitely go and check them out!

Given that I'm a Directioner, I cannot give an objective and unbiased opinion... That said, my opinion is still valid. I think the original is far better, this sounded very unbalanced between the vocals and instrumental aspects. I also think that the instrumental was tacky and overdone. It took over the song making the vocals sound weaker than they probably were. I still applaud their effort, especially because it gave Night Changes exposure to a slightly different demographic. I hope that the fans of this band now take the time to look into more One Direction music. The best version will always be the 5/5 version, the band is not complete without Zayn. Even though I love ot4, I the five of them are the complete One Direction, there will always be five in my heart❤️

The strong synth kind of kills the whole song for me. This is a decent song and the cover would sound much better if they didn't try to go 'pretentious' with it. I love The Vaccines, I was honestly expecting much more from them. The music is just overpowering his voice and it smooths out the lyrics into just... a mush? I don't know, it's just not that pleasant. The song is quite simple, if you strip it down more, it just becomes noise.
