Personal grail for myself. Waiting for the call on a steel version however the blue dial on pink gold is absolutely stunning! Especially with the rubber strap for contrast and takes the sportiness up a notch. I think the 5500V does many things very well and the date window doesn't bother me. Having personally obsessing about an overseas for some time, I wonder if the date window design is a nod to the HISTORIQUES AMERICAN 1921. This is THE sports watch IMO. Travel ethos, aesthetics, heritage, level of finishing, chrono function, strap system, and that gorgeous blue dial seals the deal for me personally. Investment / forever piece and it's priced fairly and dare I say, an incredible value to what's available on the marketplace today.

It’s lovely except for the date at 4pm, it ruins the symmetry. Either bin it or revert to the previous design with the date at 12pm (this may compromise the Vacheron branding though?)

Do not underestimate how big and heavy this watch is. A great big chunk compare to the 3 hand Overseas. The dial is very cluttered (as is every Chrono) If you want see that BLUE in all its beauty then the 41mm £ hand model beats everything else out of sight.
