OR you motivate him to play like a guy who is tradable by telling him he can go somewhere he'd rather be if he can dial it in and get his trade value up Look at his play in the WBC - he can still play. When he gives a shit. He gave a shit in the WBC, and he clearly doesn't here. You're right - he took the stupid money we gave him and the chance to be "the guy" for a team, and now he clearly regrets it after last year's season went pear shaped in April. But he wasn't atrocious last year like people claim - he was a 3 WAR player and actually decreased his strikeouts from previous seasons, he's just being overplayed for a 3 WAR player, but he's probably better than a 3 WAR player in a situation where he's actually engaged. So get him engaged and be willing to take back nothing besides shorter term salary in a trade, it's far better than the 2 options given in the video.

Baez would have been thrown out at second but the ball hit the very edge of wall and popped up in air giving him time to make it to 2nd, one inch lower and hes out at 2nd or stayed at first.

What a nightmare. Like many Tiger fans... when we found out we weren't getting Correa, we were at first delighted that Biaz had signed. That's because none of us knew what the Cubs, the Mets, and virtually every other team knew about Javi... He's not a hot and cold player... He's a cold, really cold, and sometimes shows up for a warm summer day to win a game here and there... Watching his approach at the plate is painful... He overswings. He chases. He's an easy out... a steady diet of sliders just off the plate... And that he has way too many throwing errors is just a sign of his hubris. Thanks, Al.
