a world that is predicated on emotionless bureaucracy is proving to be fake and wrong...a world of "issues" only makes sense when presented by "personalities".

I always thought the Butterfly effect was when China drops a Bioweapon & then it spreads everywhere.

The intrinsic value and dignity in every human being seems to be incompatible with modern western life. It's always about what’s in it for me? We cannot empathize and only seek to impose control over the lives of others. More concerned with being self centered and loose sight of how we are interconnected Xi puts humanity at the center of his policies and has lifted billions of people out of poverty this is to be admired.

"The Chinese President is in Russia, in Moscow...." asserts the Prof in his video titled ".. the visit of Xi to Russia...". Strangely, the BBC is reporting that Putin is visiting President Xi in Beijing, China. Is this the moment we can confidently say that the Prof has completely lost the plot? Or is he just geographicaly-challenged like Liz Truss? Either way, should we never forget this error and, like he does with Liz Truss, continue to mock him for it? Or should we rise above such pettiness?

You should only rise above pettiness if he does. And he doesn't so crack on mate....crack on! And he often gets facts wrong. Either that or he distorts them to his biased narrative. I've said above: the man is not well.

@@nektekket852 That infers facts should never be challenged if they're wrong. So, I'd say to you maybe you should get a life. Or at least go lie down and take your pills.

Russia and China believe that a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis is the right path, and China's position on this issue remains unchanged. China and Russia will work together to bring more benefits to the two countries.

You're describing incomptetence, Professor. You're too mannerly to throw it right at them. Civility isn't dead, as you demonstrate. Thank you for your wisdom. Peace.

>a world of "issues" only makes sense when presented by "personalities".< You are a classic that doesn't see sense. George Friedman (Stratfor), on US "primordial" drive to prevent union of Germany and Russia (2015): "So, the primordial interest of the United States over which for a century we have fought wars as the first, second and the cold war has been the relationship between Germany and Russia.Because united they are the only force that could threaten us and we have to make sure that that doesn't happen."

The "Butterfly Effect" is not hyperbole. The Veritasium Channel has a 12 minute introduction that is quite approachable: "Chaos: The Science of the Butterfly Effect" but I know there will be many others. Imagine you have a machine that will produce "Spirograph" style drawings. You set it going and it produces one of those patterns with overlapping swirls that eventually resembles crumpled netting. At some point it is necessary to stop the machine to prevent the image "spoiling". Now repeat the exercise but change the starting angle of the pen by a thousandth of a degree. Initially, the images will look exactly the same but, over time, they will diverge and the drawing will be completely different from the original.

Does, 'quite approachable' mean something other than have a look, then laugh your tits off? The butterfly effect is nonsense in it's purest sense although, as an analogy, it may have some truth. But that truth needs extending mostly beyond reality. In his naive attempt to use it to infer it's acceptance for the events in Sarajevo are childish.

@@therepublicofcynica I used "quite approachable" to mean that someone like the good professor should be able to understand most of what is being presented in that particular video. The "Butterfly Effect" is a popular epithet for "Chaos Theory" which is not nonsense. All science is an analogy as is mathematics when used by scientists.
