Eric Bridges is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Forestry at Mississippi State University with a research focus on urban forest dynamics.
Eric earned his B.S. in Forestry from Colorado State University and his M.S. in Forestry from Mississippi State University where he studied urban forest economics.
He is the Operations Director for the Overton Park Conservancy in Memphis, TN. He is a Society of American Foresters Certified Forester and an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist.
Eric has worked as a forester for 29 years including as the Natural Resources Director at the City of Lakeland, TN; the Forester for the Colorado State Forest Service; and the Forestry Technician for the United States Forest Service.
He volunteers for the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council and was a founding member of the Memphis Tree Board.
He lives in Memphis with his wife and son.
