I still think it's gross of the writers to have Stefan propose to Caroline just 3 episodes after his humanity-less self murdered Enzo. Only Bonnie can see Enzo, her friends all think he's dead and they're basically just ignoring her grief and wanting to party as if nothing happened. It's all too rushed and disrespectful.

@@iluvlafferty firstly, no one emotionally blackmailed bonnie to attend the wedding, caroline completely understood and respected her decision not to. it was bonnie's decision to be there for her best friend on her wedding day because that's the kind of person she is, and also enzo told her she should go. and no one was partying lmao it's a wedding, what did you expect them to do? they had to lure katherine out so it had to look convincing. did we watch the same show?

For real you’re right Bonnie has been through so much and when she was with Enzo she was so happy and she should’ve got her happy ending with him. I think it was so wrong for them to kill him off and to make her suffer even more than she already has on the show.

Agree, the whole ,,never let Bonnie be happy arch" is just gross... The wedding was not a good idea, too soon and also knowing how it all ended - really unnecessary in my opinion. Bonnie and Enzo was a better couple than Caroline and Stefan ever was, so they deserved a happy ending, still so mad !

This is where the whole "emotion switch" plot device just falls apart, there's only so many times you can give Stefan a pass just because "oh his emotions were off" I really feel TVD leaned far too much on the emotional switch idea and got lazy with it, pulling it out to prop up a few episodes a season. The whole "it's not his fault" or "he didn't choose this" ideas also is so morally slippery it's just urgh... Tiring

7 years, really. the three year leap almost doubled the length of the story. and Katherine/Elena's return was expected. these two have always been the backbone of the show.The beginning and the end; an end that would be unthinkable for the story and for the fans without them.

If an addict deliberately choosing to take drugs, drink, etc again, they are are responsible for what they do next, even more so than they were the first time around because they now understand exactly what they will do. Stefan is absolutely and fully responsible for everything he did - liking him, thinking he is funny, charming, sexy, thinking he has good qualities, his generally halfway decent treatment of those he loves, his spontaneous acts of kindness to strangers- none of that changes that he is 100% responsible for what he did then. He wasn't under compulsion, he did it of his own free will to save his brother, who, like him, is also somebody who had lived double the life span of most people and had killed hundreds and perhaps thousands of people. He. Is. A. Very. Very. Very. VERY. Bad. Person.

Like seriously, I get how TV shows create "protagonist centered morality" aka we care so much more about the trials and tribulations of the protagonists that we treat them as real but everybody else as fiction making it easy to want to sympathize with people who keep murdering tons of people over and over and over again but like, seriously, I really hope in the real world people care more about the victims and justice for them than this.
