@@gloriaminix2603 The Vampire Diaries was a quite successful series for the young generation that ran for eight seasons between 2009 and 2017. Nevertheless, as an older person I followed the series incidentally. The best episodes had almost 6 million viewers, but there are of course many more people who saw the series later.

I am not Jewish, and I too am horrified by what is happening in this country. I continue to be appalled and disgusted, both by the Government’s response (especially Albanese and Wong) but also the large public support of terrorism . It’s as if the slaughter and the continuing hostage situation just doesn’t matter because “it’s only Jews”. I now look around me in the street wondering if some of the people I pass are supporters of Hamas, Oct 7, and the annihilation of all Jews. I am almost afraid to talk about it with some of my friends and colleagues in case I find out that they are not the people I thought they were. I never thought that this could happen again after WW2. Oct 7 has changed me, even though I was not there on that day. I stand for, and with, Israel and against the bitter hatred of Jews.

Celebrating such hatred..... my family immigrated to America from Russia ultimately (which also has a huge muslim population like Australia) and my great-grandma/grandpa fled the socialism and violence in the Far East into Poland, forced to leave from there into Germany, where my grandma and her mom had to flee again from Fascism. They ended up making it to America where I'm here as a 2nd gen American today. I'm sooooo thankful for that, that I could live free and safe life and now can my kids, and for people to celebrate such violence and hatred is a disgrace! My heart breaks for people who cannot live a save and free life they deserve.....

Here may be a few reasons why. 1. Netanyahu knew of the want to attack and take hostages and ignored what Israel was founded to provide (safety and free from persecution) he had intelligence reports and chose his arrogance over Jews. 2. Israel is committing genocide 3. The GUILTY illegal settlement verdict. I do not condone HAMAS. I think Oct 7th was wrong. If you read what led up to it, Israel is not PRISTINE and played a big role in what would unfortunately unfold there. Not the same thing by any stretch. Israeli government is going to get found guilty of a lot when this all hits the courts. Defending them for it military wise may possibly bring about the end of the world. Nobody’s people are that important especially when INVOLVED in the PROBLEM.

The problem with muslims are that they can't stand to hear that the Jews are the chosen people of God. In Matthew, KJV, it is written that Jesus is the King of the Jews. The 144,000 are those we read about in KJV, Revelations 7. Thankfully, God extended His grace of salvation to the Gentiles. He gave us a chance to be with Him in Heaven, too, proving how much He loves His creation because He created everything under Heaven. Christianity started in the first century while the muslim faith started in the sixth century. Christianity is six centuries older than the muslim religion. They took part of the words of our KJV Christian Bible & created their own being the Ko'ran. Nowhere in the Christian Bible does it mention a Mohammad or an Allah. Have a nice day. 🇮🇱❤

The Palestinians want to be called refugees for generations so they can get money and they don’t want a country so they kept walking away from a 2 state solution. I mean they could financially because they are the most privileged refugees in the entire world. If an IDF soldier went in and raped a girl from Gaza the whole world would lose their mind but it doesn’t happen. They don’t aim their guns at civilians. My grandfather served in the British army when it occupied Israel after the First World War and the fall of the Ottoman Empire. He was stationed in Jerusalem in 1922 when it was a barely inhabited crumbling wasteland. Nobody cultivated anything, most of the inhabitants were nomadic rather than permanent. Its only value at the time was strategic access. That’s the main reason why the Jewish people were allowed to live there after World War Two: because most people thought it would be a constant struggle for them to survive. Now that the land has become productive again and the country is prosperous thanks to their ingenuity and tenacity (plus maybe something about a covenant with God)… now suddenly it’s the “ancestral home” of the previous group of colonists. The Ottoman Empire was never indigenous to Gaza.

It is so important to speak of this. Thank you Nate! People do not realize what is it like to live in Israel, especially right now. It is to constantly be vigilant. Few days ago in neighboring city to mine Palestinian man from West Bank drove car into people on the street. Just imagine living in such reality... I had Palestinian (super nice and kind) man , coming back to me after we did two podcast episodes speaking as one israeli and one palestinian on possibility to coexistence, telling me his family told him that all Jews must be killed because they all grow up to serve in the army and are the oppressors. Thats the common Palestinian view at this point. People who think differently might be labeled as traitors and be in life danger.

It is such a sad statement on the world in 2024 that antisemitism and calls for our genocide is not only tolerated by supposedly enlightened Western societies but celebrated. Unfortunately for us Jews this hatred is nothing new, I personally have survived two murder attempts because of my Jewish faith and ethnicity. As a fourth grader learning Torah in Hebrew school the synagogue I was in was firebombed by white nationalists. I survived another attempt at 29 years old as I was leaving the same synagogue, Beth Shalom in California when four white supremacists attempted to curb stomp me. This hatred is not surprising but what is surprising is for it to be coming from the supposed progressives. We project onto the "other" what we do not want to face in ourselves. This is called the shadow part of our personality. Think of nazi Germany. The German people were humiliated after WW1 therefore open to mass manipulation and the Jews were the perfect target to be scapegoated, for no other reason than they were Jews and the suppressed anger at the German humiliation was the flaw that the Nazis could exploit. Then in the 1920s, 30s and 40s, there were pogroms (murderous riots) against Jews in the Middle East and N Africa, in which whole families were slaughtered by local populations (stirred up by "fundamentalist regimes") ... in Morocco, Aden, Yemen, and Iraq (the Farhud pogrom of 1941). In Egypt there used to be 85,000 Jews living in peace, but after the pogroms, today there are less than 100 Jews left in Egypt. In Tunisia there were 100,000 and today there are only 1,500. In Lybia there were 35,000 Jews up until the 1940s, but today there are zero. The same thing happened in Lebanon, Syria and Iran. So it was not only Russia and Germany who persecuted Jewish residents during WW2, but every arab muslim nation in the Middle East also committed violence against them, or drove them out, during the first half of the 20th century ... even though the Jews were not guilty of any criminal behaviour, and had done nothing wrong to any other community. So when you mention Jews as "victims", yes, they have been unjustly victimized, as history shows us, time and again. And now Hezbollah in Syria and Lebanon, and Hamas in Gaza, have been firing missiles and bombs at Israel for the past 70 years. This is why Israel had to install the "Iron Dome" and the "Gazan perimeter wall" as a defence. There is, I and my husband is for Israel 🇮🇱. My grandmother was adopted from Israel and taken to Italy. I have no knowledge if she is a Palestinian or Jewish, I am going to try my best to find out and hopefully she is Jewish. God Bless Israel 🇮🇱
