Alright, I'm just gonna go ahead and make everybody exited by saying Kai probably isn't dead, that he may have never died in the first place. Alright, you all probably think I'm crazy but I have five reasons to back up my theory that I found in a video. 1. In one of the episodes before his dead he tricked Damon into thinking he had stabbed him when Damon really stabbed Elena. He states after that that cloaking spells and illusions are absolutely no problem for him. How come in the episode he died when he was ten times as powerful as he was in the episode he tricked Damon that he couldn't of used an illusion. 2. Yes, Damon snuck up behind him, but honestly. Damon did it at a normal speed. There was nothing to stop Kai from figuring out Damon was behind him. I mean, come on guys. Kai may be a psychopath but he's also a genius, there was no reason for him not to see the attack coming. 3. No one said anything about Kai's death on social media. Usually when a character dies and the actors are leaving the show the rest of the cast tweets a goodbye or posts a goodbye on social media. Not even Chris Wood himself mentioned Kai's death without being specifically asked. Isn't that suspicious? 4. One of Chris' tweets that was a reply to someone said something alone the lines of "that episode was sad. ------------ But you never know if he's gonna come back next season wink wink". Now that's just obvious. 5. Chris has posted pictures on Instagram of himself with members of the NEW cast on TVD for the latest season. So yeah, I don't think he died. I think he's gonna come back and the evidence to back me up on this makes things pretty damn obvious.

Deandra Eldermire it's both his fault & isn't. He's a sociopath; like a vampire with their humanity switched off; actually more like one that just doesn't have any control of it, unlike vampires. People hate Kai because he is evil. I like him because he is funny,sarcastic, bit of an ass, and actually has emotions. Once he combined with Luke he changed and was sweet. He tried to apologise to Bonnie on multiple occasions but was turned down. Then she trapped him in another prison and he was visibly confused, sad, and angry. He then turned back into the original Malachai Parker. Bonnie fucked up. This is why i don't ship them. tbh i like Kai not being with anyone. +vroom vroom My sentiments exactly. At least, Kai had a mental illness that made him that way. Damon did it because he was just lashing out and emotionally immature. He did it for attention and, particularly, because he didn't WANT to process his emotions. Kai did it because he was unable to feel emotions at all. So, logic would denote that him acquiring Luke's empathy during the merge would have given him the ability to feel and process at a much better rate than Damon fucking Salvatore anyway. BAD CHOICE to kill him, Bonnie, and worse choice by the writers not to have addressed this at some point. Damon's destruction and ruthlessness is glorified and forgiven, when he should have known better all along, but Kai is demonized when he lacked the abilities to know better. Doesn't send a good message for mental illness. The writers had a chance to address that and didn't.

Honestly I think Bonnie would have forgiven him in time if he just respected her wish to let her heal and give her space. But he was more worried about his own guilt than Bonnie healing and forcing his way into her life even though she had PTSD and couldnt even look at his face without having a panic attack. Damon and Bonnie were forced to be near each other due to their loved ones and eventually Bonnie forgave Damon once he showed he had changed. It took time- and Kai didn't give Bonnie that time so she did what she would have done to Damon years ago if Elena didn't stop her. It's not Bonnie's fault but the writers as JP is a biased mofo who hates Bonnie and any desirable man that isn't story fodder showing interest in her instead of Caroline/Elena so I blame her and her alone. Bonkai could have been amazing but as usual TVD messes up a good thing. ;_;

Her actions were based out of vengeance as much as prevention, don't fool yourselves. Karma has a way of coming back and Enzo's recent death confirms that. Enzo did not deserve to die, Bonnie does not deserve to die and Kai deserved a chance at redemption... The ones who are a persistent problem and TRUE source of turmoil are Damon and Stefan Salvatore. They continue to repeat the same patterns and mistakes, refusing ever refusing to break their patterns, because their self-absorption and own desires are always placed first above anyone else. Those are two deserve to be called out on their sins. As stimulating as this chat is, I will no longer be reading any replies. I did psychology in uni, and in order for a child to develop sociopathy, they have to go through severe and major abuse. I'm talking abuse so major, they get post traumatic stress disorder from it. There is also a latent genetic component. But latent means it will only activate under the right environmental conditions. Meaning if Kai was treated with love, he wouldn't have become a sociopath. Did you know that sociopaths snap when their post traumatic stress disorder is triggered? You might be wondering how on earth did his dad telling him he couldn't become the coven leader trigger his PTSD? I mean that's just silly. Well it triggered it because Kai knew they didn't want him to be the coven leader, because he was a siphon. It would have reminded him of the fact they abused him, and treated him like an abomination. The defective twin that nobody wanted. Also if I was in Kai's position and Damon and Bonnie made plans to leave me behind, just to protect the people who abused me as a child, I would siphon from her too lol. Yet somehow Bonnie isn't evil for doing what she had to do, but then people like you have this ridiculous double standard, when you think Kai was evil, when he did what he had to do, to DEFEND himself against going through more psychological TORTURE, and ISOLATION.

He didn't have to torture Kai psychologically. He would have been isolated and psychologically tortured forever if Bonnie hadn't shown up. He could have executed Kai instead. His father is a monster too, he's just better than Kai at (to reference Game of Thrones) playing the game. His father is better at hiding his evilness under masks of parental love, concern, and being able to manipulate his children into believing he did what he had to do, because there was no other choice. Now I found the fact that Kai was "normal" (well normal for a sociopath) completely unrealistic, after he had spent 18 years in isolation. Have any of you seen Teen Wolf, where Stiles has hallucination because of the nogitsune? Stiles is so scared he would scream, and not be able to sleep properly. The psychological pain that Stiles went through is realistically what someone who is isolated for long enough has gone through.

This guys was betrayed by everyone who was supposed to care about him and who he thought cared about him. Seriously though, Kai didn't have a conscience before all of this. When Kai merged with Luke he inherited some of Luke's qualities, like his conscience. Even then, he actually cared, you can see the look of sadness and anger whenever he talks about how his father treated him like an abomination growing up, kind of like how Klaus was treated, except his brothers and sisters didn't help him, they followed their follows lead and treated him like the pariah. When he finally got a conscience, he actually started helping, granted it was for selfish reasons, but he did it anyway, even though there was a more direct and murdery way of getting what he wanted. His conscience was fragile and then it happened, the moment when Kai was betrayed by the only person he actually considered to be a semblance of a friend, Ms. Bonnie Bennet. Case in point, the could have all been handled differently if they treated him with compassion or at the very least gave a damn about him. And yes he has murdered people before, but how is that any different from Damon or Stefan or Caroline or Elena or Klaus or Elijah, etc, etc. He wasn't beyond redemption, if his conscience was nurtured instead of pushed aside.

I love Kai- he's an amazing complex character and the only one who made him feel was the beautiful, loyal, and selfless Bonnie Bennet. It was so obvious he was in love with Bonnie despite being a sociopath- or at least he felt something for her that he didn't feel for anyone else. But once he started pushing himself into her life after torturing/breaking her spirit in the past I knew it wasn't going to end well. Bonnie has been manipulated most of her life, risking her neck for people who never would do the same- so it makes sense she never forgave Kai especially when his guilt overcame any respect he had for her and he refused to let her live her life without him pushing himself into it. If the writers had played their cards right I would ship Bonkai to the ends of the earth (since Bamon and Bonkai are both so cute) but they wasted the opportunity and now we'll never know how amazing they could have been. Surely a lot more epic than Bonenzo is that's for sure. ;_;

It still kills me how he gained his humanity again, he began to truly change for the better and then the person he put his trust in betrayed him. And what did he learn from being good, from being what he shut off and everyone hated? He was trapped again, deemed a peice of trash, unworthy, in isolation and pain and anger. What else would he do? Bonnie triggered his emotional response to pain and anger and hatred she drove him insane all over again. Yes the dark part of Kai deserved his fate, but he also deserved every chance at redemption Damon, Klaus, Kol, Enzo and the others did. Kai had a good heart after his pain from his past trauma was slowly taken away, and he and Bonnie could have been a power couple. The merge changed him for the better and he actually had a reason to be a villain and it rooted from pain. He had the best heart and wanted to be a better person. If people saw that and bonnie knew he risked his life to save her, maybe she could have seen that. all he wanted was for bonnie to see that.

Bonnie killed him first, without him having ever hurt her before that, and she even thought she'd killed him for good. She tried to kill him multiple times and yet, when he came to apologize to her at that rave-party, the producers made it look like Kai was so bad to her. What people don't understand is he had nothing. He never had a real family, never had friends, never had hope, never had anyone who loved him. He was alone and he's always been alone. He was a child (well 22 but still) and they abandoned him. He wasn't born evil and even if he was it was because of his coven that he would be been. And ppl say he delivered EVERYTHING that he got but there are so many characters that have don't far worse that ended up much happier. I feel like the only way you can understand him is if you've been as lonely as him and as someone who never had any friends and wasn't always close to my family he kinda hits pretty close to home. Kai’s wasn't broken... They destroyed him and left nothing for him to hold on to. He betrayed Bonnie but she also betrayed him just as much and she was only locked in the prison world for a year while he was locked away for most of his life. How anyone can say he deserved the hand he was dealt is beyond me because he didn't deserve most of the things he got. He was tricked, disowned, abused, bonded, suicidal, self-loathing, and more than anything he was alone. Almost every character in the story had at least one person who cared for them but Kai he had nobody. He lived without love and he died without it. Imagine your family locking you away for most of your life because they put you on an endless path and called you trash for following it. His life was cruel... He wasn't.

I am just gonna say it. Damon killed thousands of innocent people because of Katherine, a girl who he loved for a short period of time and yet it is ok. Same for Stefan. When he was a ripper he slaughtered too many people and he is ok. Don't get me wrong i love the Salvatore brothers but honestly. Then Kai was mentally abused by his family, had a mental illness that made him that way, and trapped in a world of solitude for for over 15 years yet he kills not even a fraction of what the Salvatores did and he is unredeemable. Damon did what he did because he was scared to feel things he didn't want to feel and even though Stefan couldn't control himself it really isnt an excuse. All Kai needed was for someone to care about him just a little bit and he actually was starting to get better. Then after Bonnie stabbed him in the back and left him in the prison world again, Kai lost the last shreds of his emotions. So tbh Kai is the best character and deserved much better and defo more screen time

Let’s see... Damon: killed thousands of innocent ppl bc he wanted to.. stole his brother’s girl.. tortured ppl.. murddered geberstion after generation of vampires cuz of something their ancestors did... Klaus: killed millions of ppl, compelled other ppl to think they were his family so they would run from his father. Tortured millions of ppl, killed all of his parents, daggered his sibling more times than I’ve been alive Kai: killed his family and a lot of innocents, screwed ppl over in plans... And yet everyone else deserves forgiveness other than Kai?? I think if we can forgive and love Damon and Klaus.. we can forgive and love Kai.. he genuinely wanted to make things better when he had gotten characteristics of Luke and he coulda been a good guy if Bonnie and friends hadn’t screwed him over.. that’s when his heart and soul broke again... come on now Bonnie and friends.. if you can show simpathy for Damon and Klaus, you can show simpathy for Kai.. Kai genuinely wanted forgiveness.. Klaus and Damon just wanted to get into Caroline and Elena’s pants

I truly feel bad for him. And here are my reasons: ↠ He spends twenty years in isolation, and is then blamed for being crazy. ↠ He is outcast, isolated and frankly, treated like shit his entire life for being a siphoner and then blamed for snapping. ↠ He has no idea how anything works, he missed 20 years of modern day technology development and political change. ↠ He was sent to the Prison World at age 22. I don’t care what anyone says, he was practically still a child. ↠ He was clearly abused both mentally and (judging by his fathers attitude) most likely physically abused for the way he was born, as if siphoning was his fault. ↠ He was raised with the knowledge that he was born to die for Jo, because he wasn’t as strong as her. ↠ He probably had a pet that he never got to say goodbye to. ↠ Any friends/associates he had would have aged and left him behind. ↠ He was raised in a family that hated him. ↠ He was always in his sister’s shadow for a nature he couldn’t change. ↠ I don’t care what anyone says, he clearly states that he had a ‘soft spot’ for one of his sisters, indicating he had feelings. ↠ He always had fucking feelings, and he was treated like they didn’t matter. ↠ Nobody would listen to him or help him. ↠ He blatantly tried to help Bonnie, even if for selfish & confused reasons, by trying to kill Damon. He could’ve just siphoned her magic, slit her throat for the Bennett blood and left them both, he didn’t. ↠ He didn’t ever want to leave them there in the first place, because he knew how bad it was. ↠ He completed a fucking crossword and left a treasure trial. Low-key adorable. ↠ He was condemned for who he was after being born to die and refusing that fate. ↠ He was always made to feel like a burden of the family. ↠ Despite having a ‘soft spot’ for his sister, clearly showing he had emotions, he was always going to be the ‘bad child’. ↠ He was named ‘Malachai’ and acknowledged that everyone thought he was evil. Imagine being raised as ‘the evil child’ and then having to suffer for what they made you. ↠ He tried so fucking hard so apologise to everyone, and get what he wanted without hurting anyone. ALL HE WANTED WAS FORGIVENESS. ↠ Nobody made being good worth his while, so why should he be? ↠ I know he did bad stuff, I’m not saying the fact that he stabbed Jo and whatnot is okay, but you can clearly see that the person he is, isn’t who he wants to be. -Don’t get misunderstood by me. I love both Bonnie and Kai- •He was a child, condemned to a life sentence of pain and suffering for crimes that were not his fault.•
