The Vans Zion Wright ZAHBA Shoe Review & Wear Test

After skating these shoes for a few sessions I found a lot of things I didn't like and had to compromise on. Over all I would say these were as good as a lot of other vans skate shoes I reviewed in the past, this Vans skate shoe review ended with me being surprised. . . . in a good way? or a bad way??

The sole looks like a pebble picker, like the Berles. So for that reason it’s a pass for me. Thanks for the review.

Thank you for reviewing this shoe. I'm currently skating them right now. I 100% agreed with the adjustment of flip tricks in these shoes. I had landed primo a few times in this shoe and I found the enforcement in the outsole to have helped my old ass feet not get rifled. 🙌🏻. This shoe is super responsive with flip tricks though. Lace configuration due to design could've been thought out better. All in all, I'm super impressed with this shoe. 😁

Great review as always. I got the all black with the white wave but the foam was throwing me off after a while skating the shoe. It took ok impact but they stopped being comfortable as I skated them more so I honestly have them away to my homie.

100% right the side/eyelet area for the laces of the shoe wears out much longer before the bottom tread

Looks like a clothes similar to AVEs, which don't have enough cushioning, too-thin walled, no protection, and too narrow\tight. I have slightly inward bending bigtoes now permanently from them.

I got the zhaba shoe for like $60 and personally i think they are great, i think their exterior build could be better, i like how it looks but mine tears up fast, but the interior comfort and impact absorption is among the better shoes ive skated

My local skateshop had a bunch of the vans x alltimers collab of this shoe for like 35$, and they might be my favorite shoe I’ve skated, the alltimers version is all leather upper with Duracap on the toe and seem to hold up a lot better then the regular zahba, if you want a pair of zahba I’d say grab the alltimers collab while they still on sale at shops

I bruised both heel bones / damn near broke them. Currently can’t skate and was wearing these shoes when it happened. Aka…false advertising from Vans. Also their toe cup is small for my wide. They hurt. LOVE ZION won’t rock the shoe anymore.

But that thread looks like it would pick up all kinds of trash, imagine stepping in mud with these by accident. Also in the back it looks like whole parts of the thread could break out of the sole, if you loose one rhombus those are done..these connectors don,t seem very strong. But maybe that's just visually

I have had christian's shoelaces for more than a year now skating them on and of and they still haven't broken. I tend to rip shoelaces pretty easily and usually have 2 eyelets left of shoe lace by the time the shoe is done. You prolly didn't even buy them dude, but you definitely should!
