Your parametrization resembles Wildberger's work on DeCasteljau-Bezier curves. I like it.

Big fan of Wildberger's work but not familiar with DeCasteljau-Bezier. Looking forward to studying it.

Yes; also his lectures on affine plane, and those on barycentric coordinates. Every time I discover new levels of understanding.

that little perplexity at 15:30.. I've been stumbling over that finding the center of effort of two sails on my boat.. I knew the center should be close to the larger sail, but I kept getting the algebra wrong.. (I need that because I need to get it close to the center of lateral resistance of the boat in water.. then the boat sails straight!) .

Awesome - thanks for connecting this to a real life situation! Quite an insightful example!

So well explained that it feels so simple - yet, you open so many layers of understanding that is is like a window on an entire universe. Will we have access to the full lectures, exercises, etc. ?

Thank you for the kind words - it means a lot! I'm afraid I won't be able to release to complete lectures due to student privacy considerations

@@MathTheBeautiful I understand. You are the math teacher I wish I had 50 years ago!

the asymmetry of (1-t)a+tb bothers me 😭 im sure its somehow symmetric, it has to be, but I just cant figure it out

Agreed! However, we fix this in the second half of the video.

10:24 even though it is not at all obvious? Well, it is.

Thank you for your feedback! I don't disagree, but nothing is ever obvious to me
