this band and this album have given me faith that rock-n-roll isn't dead. i thought it was. all those dudes whining then screaming then whining then screaming like the nightmares of kurt kobain's poltergeist... ugh. then, these freaky fucking kids. i'm an old gen-xer punk rocker so of course everything's gonna suck. very excited about these kids. hope they don't get buried behind radio's lack of imagination and mtv's reality-scripted program bullshit. there's no better band in their 20s than the velveteers. they oughta be headlining arenas but i'm glad that for now i may be able to see them in a club.
