My first visit was as a kid to the Treasure Island indoor waterpark, before Mt Olympus owned it. It was awesome on its own. Later, when it was a "megapark" I got to go back. I don't think you can talk about this park without talking about the waterparks. Based on your video, I'm not sure you even saw the entire waterpark. It wraps around past the picnic area. They have mini golf, bumper boats and some great bodyslides. It's huge.

@@mitchellries256 People have different tastes. I used to love waterparks, and I suspect that if I had the opportunity to visit one I'd find I still loved them (I just haven't been for a long time). I will say that I did go to the outdoor water park in Wisconsin Dells back when it was its own park (Family Land). I suspect a good deal of the park's janky layout has to do with the fact that it was a merger of three parks, with two of them separated from the third by a motel which was removed.

A lot of the things CZ (Hi! Big fan!) brought up as other attractions are gone. Where the mini golf was is a “at your risk” lazy River now, which is actually pretty cool because it has artificial current so kids are never in there. I’m a Dells native and worked for both the hotels and the park. I have serviced all the coasters, we were on our game when anything happened with a coaster.

What a park to conquer coasters at!! Congrats!! Welcome to the (mostly) wonderful world of coasters!! So many amazing coasters and fellow enthusiasts out there. Cedar point had a ton of first time coaster experiences for me two short years ago . My first B&M wing coaster, dive coaster, beyond vertical drop, accelerator and giga. I’m sure those who live near CP started their enthusiast journey there. Everyone definitely has to make it a point to get there at some point. Best of luck on your continuing coaster journey, I’ve been an enthusiast for 8 years and it’s been quite the ride, no pun intended lol

That wave pool reminds me of going to Water World as a kid. The wave pool there used to have a single 10 foot wave every 10 minutes. One time when I was 8 or so I decided to swim all the way to the deep end and wait for the wave. I wasn't a great swimmer and I was surrounded by people in inner tubes; So when the wave came I was pushed under an endless expanse of inner tubes. I had to push my way through them and it was terrifying. They changed the wave engine to make lots of 5 foot waves instead when they replaced it but I miss those big waves. The admission is cheap with a coupon and it's fairly unique so it's worth visiting if you're ever in Colorado during the Summer.

It'd be interesting to see what RMC could do with an old family coaster. I have an idea, though: use the ride's low speed to its advantage by giving it an inversion-based layout focused on hangtime. As for its name, it could keep the name Pegasus or perhaps be renamed Icarus so that the Pegasus name could be reused for a Gravity Group family coaster.

my comments as someone who this is technically their home park: I would say that the assigned seating thing is covid related, I don't remember having any issues last time i went. the dells are a big trap you are right, although IMO Noah's ark falls in the bottom half of attractions in the dells. I would say your rankings are exactly on point, this is how I would rank them. I see you mentioned the water park, it is ok but it always falls flat for me since there are tons of water parks in the dells. I think that they only own 1 train for most of their rides. I totally agree that they need new rides, However, I think they just have a them of wood rides and want to stick to them. also they can never get anything to big since they are all but drowned out by SFGA to the south and Valley fair to the NE. overall it is a nice place and It is a good break from all the water rides in town.

I visited in 2006, when Hades was fairly new, Opa (the indoor wild mouse coaster) was brand new, and you could still take your go-kart through the Trojan horse. All these Mt. Olympus videos make me want to visit again! But I wish Wisconsin were taking covid more seriously. I did get a bit of the “odd” vibe that some of the other videos have mentioned. For example, there was a sign on Cyclops that said you had to be 18 to ride the back row! That might explain why we haven’t been back in so many years, even though we live only 4 hours away. Hades was awesome, though, and looks even more awesome with the inverted loop. I hope to make it back someday.

The last time I was at their indoor water park the bathroom was covered in poop and was not cleaned up in the 40min we were in the pool dispite us telling the life guards, the bar restaurants floor was crunchy to walk on because there was so much food on the floor and the room bathroom was covered with hair and mold. We had a two night reservation and after one night went to the desk and asked to early check out where they shrugged, acted like this happens very often and returned our money to us without even asking why we didn’t want to stay a second night. I've read that Hades 360 requires a nearly full train to dispatch so that it doesn't valley during the double downs near the end .....

It doesn't anymore though, but they keep operating it as such! It's so annoying!!

There’s is going to be a new slide there next year and it’s going to be called Hercules

I think they can only run one train on Zeus and Cyclops because of the amount of block sections. Not sure about Hades though

They could go with a launched ride like a Eurofighter or a Skyrocket named after Hermes or an Infinity named after Ares. If they really want to focus on the vertical or beyond vertical drop, name the ride after Icarus.

Icarus wing coaster.... except they'd never buy a B&M.
