​@andreawynne3246 because Shannon was a convicted felon prior to this trial, and the state filed recidivist (in Georgia) it means any guilty verdict must be sentenced to the maximum. So for the gun charge it is a range of 5 to 10 years so the judge had to sentence it as 10 years but still held the power to make most of it probation.
