Nick is NOT underestimated. He is a legendary musical genius! A true, one of a kind, visionary with a style all his own! If Verve didn't break up between Northern Soul and after Urban Hymns... If they could've stayed together and released another two records, they'd be up there with the elite UK bands... Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, etc.... IMHO.... Look at all they're amazing B-SIDES!!!! Other bands would kill for those Verve "throw-aways"....

I was reading somewhere about the "Britpop" movement or whatever and they were throwing Blur in there along with Oasis. The Verve were so much better. Hasn't time proven this?

The term “britpop” is rubbish. The Verve, Oasis, Blur, or even Pulp, are all completely different types of bands. Like some days you prefer tea, others coffee, etc.
