Honestly I really feel for Aimee. The way that she's so sweet, kind and generous, and just wants to believe the best of people. Her mindset is so kind that she could barely believe that someone would be as cruel and heartless as the man on the bus...which is probably why she tried to make excuses for him. It's sad how we've also just been taught as women to brush this stuff off and just accept when it happens. I remember when I was 16, I was taking a walk around my neighborhood in broad daylight...there was an alley behind my block that I'd walked through many times and had never faced any trouble bc it was a pretty safe neighborhood. But this particular time a guy flashed me in that alley, and while I was initially scared, I tried to laugh about it later on, attempting to brush it off. But I couldn't step foot in that alley again for months. Like Aimee said, I had always felt safe before, but then I didn't.

Tbh for me aimee was a really airheaded character that i in the beginning saw only as comic relief and i didnt rlly like her that much- i honestly didnt expect the character to be upset about the assault the way they first portrayed her, but seeing how the story continued and how she struggled with getting on the bus really taught me that it doenst matter who you are or whatever- things like that will always be traumatizing no matter how "fine" someone may seem or pretend to be
