The Super Show is responsible for many things. The Bros enjoying Italian cuisine, Luigi being nervous, Toad’s shrill voice, a template for what the central characters should sound like in general, etc. but I had no idea this show was quite possibly also responsible for Mario’s first ever mamma mia (18:17). The influence this show ended up having on the franchise at large continues to amaze me to this day.

A giant deep-fried cheeseball of flown-by-the-seat-of-its-pants cheap animation with cheaper writing, and yet hard-acted voice work by Captain Lou Albano and Danny Wells.
