I happen to own not one but multiple aimpoint electronics, one is G1 and the other one is mark III. G1 I have been using on top of FEG ak on a ultimak gas tube mount and mark III is currently on top of DS arms L1A1 picatinny. Both work perfectly fine and the only modification I have made is I have cut a short piece of from a brass bar to fit a 3v lithium CR2 battery instead of the two LR50 batteries it originally takes. And currently trying to decide whether to get another G1 with a multiplier. What can I say I like old shit :D

Only thing I do not like that much is the rotary switch on it, for use its awesome but whilst carrying the gun in a bag it has a tendency to turn itself on. Its only a problem on the G1 the mark III switch is much more stiff and has no such problem.

I just bought a newer model of these and it doesn’t have one of the rail mounts and tightening studs and idk where I’m gonna find one lmao but it came with a 3x magnifier

Does the magnifier fit the G2 aswell as G1?

It looks very similar. Can't say from photos if the thread is the same. So I'm guessing: yes (don't know it tho)
